“Excellent location, good value”

Stayed at the Selomar for one night as a short break. We stayed in room 5 which is a family room for £70. We arrived earlier than anticipated & our room was being cleaned when we arrived but we were allowed to take our bags up to the room & leave them there which was helpful. Excellent sized room, modern interior and nice view of the south bay over the houses. We were aware it was not a full sea view at the time of booking as this was the only room available.
The bathroom was modern and very clean. Toiletries were supplied which was a nice touch that you wouldn't normally expect from a small establishment.
Managed to park on the road outside the hotel & we were given a parking permit for this from Irene. The hotel has a beautiful location overlooking the north bay. Easy access to north & south bay.
At Breakfast there was a choice of cereals, fruit, fruit juice & yogurts. There was a selection hot cooked breakfasts to accompany this along with toast.
Would definitely stay here again, excellent value for money.

The rooms are small adequate and basic but are very clean, be sure to check your door is locked when you leave your room as we found we had to slam the door for the lock to click in place. The breakfast was nice with great service and the staff were more than friendly and helpful. The hotel is up a reasonable hill from the north bay which isn't a problem getting down but can be quite strenuous to climb back up. Overall really enjoyed our stay and we thought it was good value for what we paid.

We've just got back from staying in this hotel. After Reading A Review about this hotel, I was getting rather worried about staying in this hotel, But as soon as I Arrived I Knew I had nothing to worry about. We were Greeted by a lovely lady called Irene,Who Couldn't of been more helpful with Parking requirements. We were shown to Room 3,Which had a lovely sea view,After a very peaceful night sleep. We went down for our breakfast, Where I was interested how the "Out of Date Cereal" Was made in 2012, But however didn't go out of date until the year 2013! I thought I best point that out because it was a delight to stay in this hotel,And will defiantly be returning soon

I stayed here with my partner and her family for her Grans 80th birthday celebrations and we couldn't have asked for better service or a better time!

From the first time I spoke with the owners to book the rooms service was outstanding! I explained what the celebrations were for no upon arrival my partners gran had a birthday card on her bed and she had been upgraded to a fancy room with a wonderful view.

In the morning we got up and the owner had decorated to breakfast area with birthday banners! Adorable.

Both owners were so friendly and always happy to sit and have a chat or to help out with anything.

The rooms were clean, big and airy and the bathrooms were lovely.

Short walk away from the beach and it was a wonderful view!
We will be recommending this hotel to others.

Just got back to today after spending the weekend in Scarborough for the racing at Oliver's mount, There was 10 of us so we had 5 rooms between us and nobody had a bad word to say about their room or the hotel...

Irene is lovely, does anything to help from the moment you meet her, We hadn't even booked in yet and she was helping us out parking wise. It is a lovely hotel, looks really nice, no peeling wallpaper here! We had room 11, top floor, ocean view (you get ALOT of ocean in that view!!!) Best shower ever and comfiest bed ever, for the money you pay it is more than worth it!

I cant really add much to what everyone else has put on here, just that the whole package is amazing, the hotel, Irene, the location and we even had the weather too!!!

We will be returning to Scarborough and will most definately be stopping here!!

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are a must, view to die for!

Just come back from a anniversary weekend away after staying at the Selomar Hotel & what can i say it was lovely, after phoning up to book the room & asking for a sea view room i was given exactly that, i was told the room was empty so i could check in anytime from 10, we stayed in room 4 which is the photo on the internet & its exactly as it shows very clean with a great sea view, the host (irene) is a really nice person tells you all you need to know & is there to help, the breakfast staff are very polite & pleasant, the breakfast is great with lots of choices, i also liked the fact that there is a printout in the room of places to eat so your never stuck for a nice meal out, the Selomar is about 10 mins walk to the town & fronts & 5 mins away from the castle so its in a very good location...we will deffinatly be stopping there again...thank you so much.

This hotel has lovely rooms with the most stunning view looking out across the beach, castle and harbour. We stayed for two nights so we enjoyed the great breakfast they had to offer with plenty to choose from. It was well situated as we could walk to Peasholm Park, or to the city centre for a drink or two in the evening. The host Ken & Irene were great very friendly and were there if we needed them but also just let us come and go as we pleased you never felt as though you were in the way even rolling in late at night. Would highley recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: The family room was large enough, for two people and two children, but also nice for a couple having...
