We visited here because it looked clean & quiet. We ordered the Italian Rarebit to share as a starter which looked nice on the menu but not when it arrived, it looked like toasttoppers on toast and was meant to have spring onions in it but think they did a runner. We both ordered a pizza which took ages to arrive and expensive for what you get, they are big pizza's but not much filling. The staff outnumbered the customers while we were there and looked disinterested, some were behind the bar drinking while others were on their phones, just didnt look very proffesional or organised.

We were walking by and were drawn in by the menu and decor and how busy the restaurant was made it look very good. Our starters arrived 10 minutes apart which is never good. The "fresh" calamaris turned out to be processed and frozen and was nasty. It was steak night so we had a T-bone steak. It was lovely, perfectly cooked medium rare but the sides were cheap frozen potatoes and onion rings thrown in the fryer. We wouldn't go back

Authentic Italian. Good service. Good value. I enjoyed an excellent basic pizza - the base cooked just right, crisp but not too hard, plenty of cheese and tomato (many restaurants do not seem to manage a decent pizza!).

We have visited this restaurant several times before.. it just gets better! Food is fantastic, good portions, tasty, authentic and reasonably priced. Staff are very helpful and can`t do enough for us. We usually book but its not always necessary. Early bird menu`s very tasty and children catered for. We would recommend a visit to Tricolos to everyone!

Over the years we have been to this restaurant many times and have seen the restaurant owned by several different owners. On some occasions we have had superb meals and service and on some occasions it has been quite disappointing. This evening we waited over half an hour after placing our order for the first course. Two of us order from kebabs from the specials board. They were tasty but considerably more expensive that the version served in Florios where they serve two kebabs and not a single one like at Tricolos. My wife had Carbonara but the Pancetta was very fatty and inedible and she was unable to eat any of the pancetta and only ate the pasta. No comment was made by waiting staff at the amount of food left after the meal. However, the service we received was quite good overall and we were asked if the food was okay and timidly we said yes when we were not particularly happy. The wine was quite expensive. We all had a dessert which was quite pleasant. The décor of restaurant is now becoming quite dated and it seems like several years have passed since the place was last refurbished. The flooring near where I sat moved when walked on and my chair vibrated each time someone passed. This may be our last visit to this restaurant as we feel there are better Italian restaurants in the town.
