This Scarborough institution has always seemed to be here and never changes, I went here when I was young and it is a must for our children on every visit.
It's a real taste of the 50s with old fashioned banana splits and knickerbocker glories , jars of cherries, pears and peaches as well as locally made ice cream, the lemon is particularly refreshing on a sunny day( not very often). Kids love the ice cream floats while mum and dad have tea or an" ovaltine for nostalgia.
Just kick back at the counter and for a short time pretend your back in time when everything was less rushed .
