We had high expectations of this restaurant after reading glittering reviews. Although the food came quickly; we wished it hadn't.
For starters we had the parmesan cheese cone filled with ricotta & smoked salmon as well as the minestrone soup. The cone salmon starter appeared to be still frozen; leaving it almost impossible to cut through. The minestrone soup was okay, however it contained large chunks of unnecessary leafs and vegetation.
Our main courses were a vegetarian lasagne type pasta dish, along with pork tenderloin medallions in a wine and garlic sauce. The pasta dish was very bland and disappointing, a supermarket version would probably taste a lot better. In contrast the pork main course was very nice, the meat was cooked nicely and the sauce that came with it was very tasty.
After the general feeling of disappointment with the first 2 courses, we decided to try our luck with some desserts. The deserts that we ordered were a lemon cake and a strawberry cheesecake. Both of the deserts didn't really have much taste but they were acceptable.
Overall we felt that the quality of food consumed on our visit was not worth the fairly high price.
