We stayed in the Ambassador on a Saturday night and paid £119 for bed and breakfast. The hotel room was tiny with barely enough room to walk around the bed. The mattress on the bed was very old and thin although the bedding itself was nice. The bathroom was pretty shabby with what can only be described as a 1970's school toilet! The rooms look like they have been recently painted but it all looks like it has been done on the cheap (lining paper peeling off the wall, carpet put down haphazardly). For the price we paid I would expect a much higher standard of hotel. The pool area was nice, although it is a very small pool with barely enough room for 2 people to swim in opposite directions. The changing rooms in the pool were a bit shabby with some very creaky seats in the changing rooms (they are made out of chipboard or mdf and sag quite disconcertingly in the middle when you sit on them). Breakfast was nice but if its busy you feel very crammed in as the room is a little on the small side. Overall the hotel was ok but I would not recommend it to anybody else.
