Travelled from Scarborough town to try the restaurant for a friends birthday and were so pleased we chose here.
With 4 kids and a big dog we were worried it wouldn’t satisfy, but the staff were brilliant and the menu choice was great. This is a lovely, welcoming dog friendly place to be and very clean.
We skipped the starters and went for the main course, every choice was delicious. We each chose different dishes and had Steak, gammon, liver, steak pie and the kids were happy with sausages and chicken bites. All the meals were so delicious and very well presented.
Only let down we’re the desserts. Didn’t quite feel homemade, but next time we come we’ll try the starters.
Would have liked cheesecake and maybe creme brûlée but that’s a personal choice.
Great food, great staff, brilliant service would highly recommend.

Me and my boyfriend paid 21£ each three courses and it all tasted absolutely amazing !
Starters - choice of 5 we picked the soup and the garlic mushrooms both were very moorish and just so tasty !
Main course - again 5 to choose from we had 2 beef diners the vegetables were cooked to perfection, honestly one of the best roasts I’ve ever had !
As for the pudding barely had any space for this treat but wow the jam sponge pudding was to die for ! Delicious will definitely be going back and.

Amazing setting for a lovely Christmas meal, even included snow. Food was wonderful, started with scampi which was lovely, only thing missing was a squeeze of lemon but still enjoyed it. Main meal was roast beef which was very tender and tasty, topped with a Yorkshire pudding. Prompt service and enjoyed the atmosphere. Hope one day to return.

Have been many times and are never disappointed.
Try the steak pie, its packed with meat and the homemade gravy is lovely.
The staff are polite and friendly and very efficient.
The vegetables are also very good, red cabbage and tenderdtem broccoli.

Room tip: Pub food with extra effort

Brilliant place. Rooms were very clean and had everything you would need. Very reasonable for the price. Had dinner in the pub and very cosy with a log fire burning. Food was excellent and very well priced. Would definitely return.
