Easy to find and park, little expensive but if you buy tickets online first or find a two for one offer its certainly worth going. Can spend a good couple of hours here,

“Cant understand the poor reviews!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

We spent 4 hours at this attraction yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and fully informed, special mention to Natalie who gave the talk on the otters when we were they, she knew her stuff inside out and could answer any questions we asked. The animals looked well cared for. The attractions were plentiful and informative. It was good having outdoor as well as indoor attractions. We particularly enjoyed the Otter feeding, the penguin feeding and the seal feeding. There was plenty of viewing areas to see the animals including lots of underwater viewing areas. The seal hospital was also informative detailing what had happened to the various animals in there, hopefully Candy will make a very speedy recovery. We only had a drink in the cafe and didnt eat there so cant comment on the quality of food although looking at the prices it did seem very reasonably priced. We upgraded to play golf which was on offer at a £1 each extra, this was really good, they had obviously put a lot of thought into the layout of the course and it had some fab details such as the raft across and back again to one hole!! All in all we found this to be a very good attraction and would certainly return again, would definately recommend watching the feeding talks.

Hello and thank you for your wonderful review of Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary.
It's great to hear that you spent time attending a number of our talks and feeding demonstrations and that you found our staff knowledgeable and friendly. We aim for all of our guests to leave with a fishy fact or two and I am hopeful that you did.
Our rescued seal Candy is currently responding well to her treatment and we are certain of a full recovery. We expect that she will be released later this year.
We hope to see you again in the future. Many thanks

“Don't go without a voucher!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

I've made a few trips here over the years and enjoy seeing the new yearly attractions.
This was a particularly wet day and thought we'd do something indoors to fill a little bit of time up.
Unfortunately we couldn't find a 2 for 1 voucher and found it fairly poor value for money paying the full entrance fee.
None of the shows were on and a lot of the animals had been moved for cleaning or maintenance.
A good third of the tour was empty or broken tanks but the ones that you could see were very enjoyable.
I appreciate that these jobs have to be done at some point but there must be a better way around it to ensure people don't get ripped off.

Hello and thank you for your review of our attraction.
It's great to hear that you are a regular visitor to Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary and enjoy seeing our new exhibitions.
When you visited in January, we were installing our new feature which is why a section of the centre was closed. We try to do this with minimal disruption to our guests and at a quieter time of year for visitor levels. We also try to ensure that all guests are informed of any changes to the normal schedule at the admissions desk, before entry into the attraction. I hope this won't deter you from visiting our attraction again in the future. Many thanks

“Don't bother”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

What a joke this place is, I've never in all my life and travels been to an attraction were you pay to get in but also pay to use the car park outside the place. What business builds a building but as no parking what a joke. The management need a good look at themselves. I park outside and it wasn't just me that was as shook at this situation and I'm betting there's lots more. I didn't even go in £15 each to get in also pay for parking what a rip off. Hopefully management will read these and sort the situation out as there losing loads of custom because of this. Rant over

The car park situated directly outside our attraction is owned and operated by Scarborough Borough Council. There is some free parking available within a 5 minute walk of the attraction.
Many thanks
