Got a half price deal, would imagine a bit expensive if having a family day out. Staff very friendly and knowledgable

“expensive but worth it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

Our son loved sea-life and we've been to many of them in the UK.
The scarborough sea-life is in my opinion the best ive been to.

Get there early as it gets very busy around 11am-12pm on the weekends. We get there just before 10am, and wait for it to open. We stay there for about 3 hours, but by this time its very busy and hard to move round.

People with wheelchair/pushchairs was struggling to move anywhere. If was so busy. by around 12pm.

When we left we the queue was huge, about 100 people queing up all the way to outside the car park.

So get there early on a weekend... or better still go during the week during school time which we have done a few times. and its nearly empty.

“A penguin stole my heart.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

I give this an average rating purely based on the fact that I'm not a huge fan of sea life places. Fishies just aren't my thing. However if you do like them then I'm pretty sure this place is worth a visit. What did do it for me though was the penguins. I love penguins and there are little pods under the penguin enclosure that you can stick your head into so you are eye level with the penguin. I really enjoyed this and the penguins are clearly so used to strange heads popping up out of nowhere that they come right up to have a good old nosey at you.

Good for the kids but overall just far to expensive and the sea lion area stank to high heaven. Was summer but still no need for smell

“Dont eat there!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Part of the centre was closed while we where there, we hadn't been made awear of this. Quite exspensive, £44 for a family of 2 adult and 2 children Talks about the animals where very good, plenty of information. We made the mistake of having lunch there. Very slow service, took over 20mins just for sandwiches, anyone with chips where having much longer waits, plenty of people complaining about the wait, we where quite lucky to have got in before the crowd!

Could also do with agood clean and tidy!!!
