Stayed here for 3 nights initially in a bay-windowed sea view room with the most amazing view of Scarborough bay (and the hospital out of The Royal!). Very large room with plenty of storage space and powerful shower in the modern shower room. Not having a bath is not a problem to us. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. The full English breakfast was large, great for your 1st day, but there are other options on the menu that are just as filling, ie poached eggs on toasted muffins as well as the usual croissants, muffins, cereals and gluten free options. Only 15 to 20 minutes walk into the centre of Scarborough via either the many winding garden paths or beach. A taxi to the restaurants on the far side of the town centre is only £5 - well worth it if you get caught out in an English shower! After our 3 booked nights we headed home, actually packed and left, but turned around and went back for another 2 nights - it was that good!!
