Nice afternoon out. Wish we'd had some nuts as the squirrels are very tame to the point of climbing legs for food!

I've visited this park hundreds of times, and never tire of it. The park itself has a beautiful lake where you can take a boat out for a row or a paddle. In the centre of the lake is a mound which you can climb, with fabulous gardens at the top, and a Chinese pagoda! There is a putting green, and a family friendly par three pitch & putt. There is also a tree trail which takes you through the spectacular glen. There's a weekly naval warfare battle in the summer, regular concerts and events, ice creams, toilets, and a cafe. There is plenty of wildlife too. (Look out for the black swans!)

Fab family day, worth the £5 entry this year. Music was a fantastic combination of local talent and bands from further afield. Kids safe to play without the undesirables ligging about at the top. Will be in the same spot next year. See you there!
