“Fantastic, stylish, brand new and luxurious self catering”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

A really gorgeous cluster of self catering cottages. Situated just outside Scarborough, the cottages are furnished to a really high standard, with fantastic views over the sea. Each has a small garden, BBQ, fully fitted kitchen, all mod cons, with brand new fittings and furnishings. The best thing for us was the fact that there is a manned reception most days, plus a really cute play area for children, with high quality swings, slides and a sandpit. Plus a smart "games room" with DVDs and books to borrow, pool table, and lots of board games and outside games.

Almost all the people I spoke to at Scalby Lodge were going to rebook for the next year. They have just opened in Feb 2013 and spent a LOT of money on refurbishing a working farm into 5 star accommodation.

There were gardeners working on site almost every day we were there, with a friendly receptionist (with 2 sweet little dogs), and everything was just so clean, tidy and brand new!

There are plenty of nice pubs nearby, with a supermarket about 2 minutes drive away and Scarborough sea front about 5 minutes drive.

We stayed at Tweedmouth Cottage and it slept 6 people. Nice lounge with ipod speakers, TV, DVD player, fully fitted kitchen, two very smart bathrooms and wonderful decoration with original paintings on the wall!

Go there! You won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: The nicest cottages we thought were the ones that looked directly over Scarborough Bay. They also ha...

Set in a stunning location, Scarborough Cottage provided a wonderful place to stay for a great holiday! The cottage interior is designed to a very high standard, well laid out with wonderful views of the surrounding meadows and coastline. Special thanks to Jayne and Mary (site management) for making us feel so welcome.

The wildlife, meadow flowers, coastline setting combined with the charm of the converted farm buildings is quite unique.

Visit Hare's Leap Farm shop and Bistro just down the road for great food and service !

The Vos' family

Room Tip: All cottages are of the same very high standard the four facing the coastline have splendid views !
