“Memory lane”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

we visited the Everley café today for lunch
The last time we were there was 25 years ago when we held our wedding reception there .
We were very pleased that we could sit outside with our dog .
The staff were very polite and very sorry when they couldn't fulfil our order due to a problem with their delivery from the butcher , Our second choice was salad and ciabatta and they were very well presented and generous portions
we would recommend for lunch fantastic views

“Return visit - Even better”
Reviewed March 26, 2014 via mobile

On a spur of the moment trip to Scarborough decided to re visit The Everley for our lunch and having two dogs wanted somewhere with outside facilities. It was a beautiful day and the views were stunning. The cafe was as good as if not better than our first visit. The food was exceptional, we had sandwiches and cakes and the staff were lovely. Will definitely return on our next visit.

“Come for the view”
Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

Having not been here for many years was expecting a pub as that's what it used to be. But stopped in for a cup of tea anyway. The young girl working in here was very sweet and helpful.we were the only two people there as it was closing time, but she served us happily anyway. The view here is amazing, really lovely, it has that lovely in the middle of no-where feel even though your only 10minutes away from Scarborough. Next time we are visiting the area would definitely return. It's probably the cheapest pot of tea we have had as well.

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

My friend and I visited here today, a Sunday lunch time after our original destination was full. I had seen bits on Twitter and FB about the Everley but never actually been. We were surprised it want busier but pleased we could chat INA quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Even though it is not used as a hotel anymore it still very much feels like a country hotel. The dining area is a combination of tables and chairs for groups as well as a some large leather seating perfect for one or two of you. Lovely touch was the daily papers scattered around the room. The menu is varied and so reasonable. My friend and i both chose a traditional cream tea consisting of scone, butter, clotted cream and jam. I couldn't believe my eyes when it arrived!! The obviously homemade fruit scones are HUGE! The coffee was what I think of proper coffee not instant but filtered. The young tram of staff were informative and friendly and the view and surroundings are stunning. For two lattes, a pot of tea and two scones with trimmings it was under a tenner. I will definitely returning to try their hot food selection.
