“Very pleasant even in December”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

I cannot add anything really other reviews have covered it all. visited 12 December 2013 on way to Filey by coastal path. My father used to talk about these gardens so I wanted to take a look at them. He met my mother in Scarborough in 1930s and also honeymooned in Scarborough. Obviously a bit tired now but the "Friends" group are renovating them and doing a good job. 1 shelter cordoned off when we were there. Very sheltered on what was a breezy cold day. Only one yellow flowering shrub in bloom but must be very good in summer. All planted up with primulas ready to flower next spring.

“Worth seeing even in winter”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

More wildlife to see than flowers in January but obvious that it is a lovely place to visit when the plants are in season. Lots of birds and a few friendly squirrels to see though.
