“What ever your diet this is a great place to eat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

We have now eaten out here twice at this new restaurant/cafe in Scarborough (Eastborough) They have a variety of meals, and cater for omnivores, Vegetarians & Vegans, and any special diets for people with any food allergies (Obviously advance warnings are necessary for the latter) They always have Vegan & Veggie meals on main menus. You get good value, the team are expert at trying new things, as they have travelled to many parts of the world. They are keen to use organic, local produced foods or fairtrade when ever possible.

“Nomad Cafe, Scarborough”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2012

This is possibly the best cafe-restaurant in Scarborough? Why? Well when I was there it was busy with mainly local people and visitors who have discovered this gem for themselves.
Great original atmosphere and superb fare with menus from around the world.
Give it a try.

“Somewhere good to eat in Scarborough.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

Try the Nomad cafe for interesting internationally influenced food and a great welcome. Vegans catered for if that is your thing, definitely FairTrade, good coffee. The owners have travelled extensively so there are loads of artefacts on the walls and some of the tables are decorated with the ephemera of their travels - we had the South American trip, which looked fascinating. The prices are very reasonable, the place is on the main street up from the harbour, so it is easy to find. Parsnip and ginger cake very different.

“a great place to eat both locally sourced, organic and fairtrade food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

Visited the Nomad following its opening 3 months ago. What a great little eatery in not the most highly visited part of Scarboorugh, but if you miss it, then you are foregoing a treat! Jillanne and Owen have travelled far and wide across the globe and the Nomad (as its name suggests) reflects their experiences of the foods of the world. Everything is freshly prepared, with a good vegetarian and vegan selection. Many dietary needs also catered for. Both my partner and I ordered quesadillas (a Mexican dish we had not previously encountered) light toasted breads interlaced with cheese with salsa, dressing and avocado. Couldn't fault this dish. The menu had a wonderful variety of food that looked very inviting. Open mornings and afternoons until 4.00pm. A very welcoming little eatery that deserves to succeed. Highly recommended

“Little Gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

Visited the cafe for the first time last week. Excellent place- good food choices and very good atmosphere. Loved the fact that though primarily a vegetarian eatery, they also cater for meat eaters- with a special meat dish of the day! That is soo inclusive!

Portion sizes were good, well presented and good value for money. I do hope this cafe is here for the long haul!
