We arrived at 3:10 to a wall if disappointed faces from the waitresses who were busy mopping the floor preparing I presume for an early finish despite the advertised closing time of 4:00.
Having checked to see food was still being served we sat down and began to choose from the menu on the table. A few minutes later a waitress came over to show us the Sunday menu. The tables had obviously already been cleaned and prepared for the week ahead including the change of menu.
A small selection was available but when ordered was served promptly and was tasty. However the hot roast sandwiches were not at all hot and as a previous review states came with no sides what so ever. Compared to the presentation of the paninis, a big let down.
Whilst eating the meal, waitresses continued to clear up around us, sweeping the floor etc whilst keeping a beady eye on our plates to see how quick we'd finish.
We have visited before and enjoyed it thoroughly but never so close to closing time. We may well try it again but can only hope the service is better.
