We visited on Saturday with our three year old son. The staff were extremely friendly and as we had booked, they'd reserved us a table next to the window with a sea view. The choice of tapas was fairly limited when you compare it to the more established tapas bars you may visit in large cities here and abroad. Never the less what we ordered was tasty and generous in size.
my wife tried the sangria which she liked an then helped me to drink a nice bottle of Rioja. Our son particularly enjoyed the meat balls and Parma ham. We would definitely visit again and would hope the choice of tapas will grow in time along with its band of loyal customers!

My wife and I visited on a Saturday for lunch based on previous TA reviews, we were not disappointed. A fantastic sea view awaits on the outdoor area. We had to wait a little while for a table to become available but it was worth the wait.
To start we had the recommended jug of Sangria and a little later the waitress took our order. We decided to opt for the tapas buy 4 and get 1 for free. This should only be done if you are hungry and not looking for a lite bite as the portions were more than adequate. If the food had not been so good we would not have managed to consume it all but we did.
Try the prawn and chorizo skewers, the Spanish cheese, anchovies and cured ham as they were all delicious.
Later one of the staff recommended the beer from Barcelona as I had never tried it. Such a good recommendation as well. When paying we left a tip which the waitress questioned as she seemed surprised. I explained that the food and drink were such good value we wanted the staff to enjoy as much as we did.
In short. Tremendous value for money with quality service and fantastic sea views. A must for anyone visiting Scarborough.

We went here on 31st July we sat outside in the small courtyard which was slightly marred by some building work but hopefully will be soon be finished. The service was very good. We had a jug of sangria and then a selection of tapas including really tasty prawn & chorizo kebabs. Reasonably priced one large jug of Sangria & 5 tapas for £21. We thought we were in Spain especially as the weather was hot that day .

We happened on this restaurant as we walked towards the town form the shore-front - what a find! Although small, the venue was atmospheric and relaxing. A good array of tapas, and great value too. (Our meal for two plus drinks, was about £17.00.) The owners / staff were very welcoming, and the food was delicious. They are, at the moment, open only till 6.00 - I hope they get their licence extended as this restaurant would be fabulous in the evening. We will definitely return on our next visit to Scarborough.

La Roca is a wonderful, hidden gem of a restaurant. The food an amazing array of traditional Spanish tapas from paella to patatas bravas, plus they are only £3 each! Sangria is fresh and best drank in the outside area with a view of the beach! They only open til 6pm and I'd advise you book to not miss out
