“Wonderful Venue.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2013

I know that this attraction is now closed for the winter, but I was lucky enough to be in the audience for "A Christmas Carousel" in December at this wonderful Venue.
We were greeted with Christmas music on a huge steam engine, and were given two free rides on the carousel. We were also given a free rein to look around the exhibits too.
There were mince pies, mulled wine, candy floss and sweetie cones, and of course the bar was open too.
The concert itself was incredible, and as good a song and dance show as I have ever seen.
Look out for a similar event in 2014, and do pay a visit to this fabulous attraction when it re-opens in the spring.

“Fun for all the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2013

We've been here on 3 occasions with friends and with four generations of our family and there's something for everyone. It's all indoors. Real old fashioned fairground rides, including a galloping horses merry go round, waltzer, dodgem cars and vintage kids rides, most of which are included in the very modest admission price. Vintage cars, traction engines and model trains. There are several beautiful and fascinating fairground organs that play in turn and an amazing wurlitzer organ too in the ballroom. There's also a cafe and bar. Lots of nostalgia but fun and adventure for the children too. Well worth a visit.

“Amazing!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

Cost £7 to get in but worth every penny. Looks nothing outside but is so worth the visit.

Visited here in oct with my husband and 7 month old son. My son loved it, my husband loved it and obviously so did I.

Has lovely cars, organs and rides to see. The volunteers will play the organs that are fantastic. A must see and hear. You get a free ride on the fairground rides with every entry paid. They are old fashioned rides and are the fasted, scariest rides you have prob been on!! Noah's ark is one of the rides I went on and I loved it! Sooooo fast!

Can have lunch in the ballroom and an alcoholic drink too. Stay for a tea dance as well for the full experience - we didn't as it's not our thing but it seems to be a bit hit. An area for children to play with toys and children's rides too.

Lots to do and can spend hours there! Great venue for a wedding reception too as that would be really different and loads for your guests to do. The pics would be amazing.

Staff and volunteers were really friendly and would answer any question about the items in the collection.

Well worth the visit. Do not see how you could be disappointed.......

“Great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013 via mobile

Found this attraction in the Scarborough attractions magazine whilst staying in Scarborough with family. We had a great afternoon looking at all the items and being played to by Paul on the Wurlitzer. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The £1 token rides are a bonus too.
