“Good place if you are on the little railway”
Review of The Glass House Cafe - CLOSED

The Glass House Cafe
Cuisines: British
Description: Serving fine food and drinks in the North Bay at Scarborough, the Glass House is the perfect place for morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea. During the day, we offer excellent pasteries, light lunches and snacks along with the finest range of coffee and tea supplied by local supplier Seasons Coffee. Other hot and cold drinks are available too and we hold a full licence for alcoholic drinks, why not come down for a relaxing drink in our fine parkland surroundings. The Glass House is situated in Northstead Manor Gardens, opposite the North Bay Railway station named ‘Peasholm Park’.

Stopped for lunch after coming off the North Bay Railway. With only 30 min left on our parking ticket we needed quick & efficient and I must say they delivered.

A kids lunch pack plus two yummy bacon rolls and coffee were ready in no time and devoured.

We only called into the Glass house because the café in Peasholm park was closed. Tea & toasted sandwiches served with a garnish of salad, very tasty. The café does not have a large number of seats inside & I’ve noticed it to be very busy on previous visits to Scarborough.

3 cups of coffee, small cups 2 mouthfuls each rest cold foam, coffee lukewarm, total £6.90. When advised staff was told we should have told them, was offered another but no real apology and we were due to catch the train opposite.

Whenever we visit North Bay, my wife and I always go to the Glass House Bistro (opposite the NB Railway) for something to eat. Their food menu accommodates so many different dietary requirements and we've never failed to thoroughly enjoy whatever we order. However the staff at this establishment make the experience even more enjoyable with their friendly, attentive manner. A highly recommended place to visit!
