We booked in here as we could not get in Whitby. To be honest, it'll now be a hard choice between Scarborough and Whitby. Sharon and Dave are lovely, and nothing seems too much for them, from the cracking breakfast in the morning to the tips on where to go or what to do. They room we stopped in had a double and two singles and it still seemed to have loads of room, it was very clean and the beds were really comfy. We will be back, this is an ideal base for a few days and we couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

We stayed for 6 nghts at the beaches guest house in January when the snow was on the ground and it was minus 2 most of the time. We were made so welcome at this dog friendly guest house, the room was lovely and warm and cosy, the breakfast was top class, Sharon and Dave went out of their way to make us welcome and to have a good break.

The guest house was central and we were able to visit York for the day and see the Minster and visit the National Railway Museum. Whitby is within reach and a lovely fishing down and full of history. We visited Flamborough Head and saw the 2 lighthouses and beautiful views. Eden Camp was also a good educational place to visit.

Peasborough park was 3 mins walk away and a good walk before breakfast for the dogs. North Bay beach was 5 mins away and enjoyed by the dogs. South Cliff a drive away but a lovely walk to the South Bay harbour.

We will be going back and we highly recommend you stay at this lovely bed and breakfast which is reasonably priced and so homely.

Room Tip: Speak to Sharon amd Dave and they will recommend a room for you

We really enjoyed our stay at the beaches. It is excellent value for money. The owners make you feel like part of the family and are there for any questions or even just to have a chat to. It's location is ideal as it is only a short walk away from the beautiful peasholme park and a very short distance from the beach. It's located near a shop and fish and chip shop as well as a few pubs, however it is still nice and quiet. We will definitely be returning again this year as the owners went out of their way to help us get home when we had a problem with our car. Very friendly couple who are there for you but not intrusive if you want to be left alone. Not one negative thing to say about The Beaches BnB :)

Stayed in Scarborough for 4 days at this small but friendly guest house. Dave & Sharon are a lovely couple who make you feel welcome as soon as you come through their door. Chose them therought the internet and was lucky to do so. You will have no complaints staying there and the breakfasts are the best. Ideal access for Peasholme Park, the cricket ground and the town centre is walking distance. The highest recommendation

Room Tip: Let them know how many of you and your needs and they will guide to the best choice of their 5 rooms

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Dave and Sharon were gracious. The rooms were very comfortable and accommodating, breakfast was awesome. It was our first time overseas and they were very helpful pointing out the sites to see in and around Scarborough. On their recommendation, we visited York. York was everything they promised. Also, they suggested we stop at Whitby on our drive back up the coast to Scotland. Whitby was a wonderful experience. Dave and Sharon, made us feel at home. This particular trip consisted mostly of Scotland, but, our enjoyable stay has us wanting to return and use The Beaches Guest House as a home base to explore England.

Amazing holiday, cant wait for next year.

Booked last minute and sharon and dave were very accomodating and very friendly. The room was lovely, if not TOO comfortable, you will struggle to get out of bed. Great location for peasholm park and the north bay, the south bay is about half hour walk along the coast road, or 5 mins in the open top bus.

Would strongly recommend, just dont book our room next year! we will be back :)
