We didn't stay as we live nearby but had a lovely afternoon tea. I was looking for somewhere special to take mum for lunch and was walking passed and noticed the board was so pleased we did.
£12 a head for lovely filter coffee, finger sandwiches (smoked salmon, ham, coronation chicken and cucumber and cream cheese), fresh scone with jam and clotted cream , carrot cake, chocolate brownie, macaroon, lemon posset shot and strawberry moose shot. (Small portions but plenty)
Service excellent and lovely environment with nice chilled music. Mum was even given a flower to take home. Really really nice experience and would definitely recommend it

Me and my wife were deciding on a quiet getaway and noticed an offer for palm court hotel. It seemed incredibly good value for such a highly rated Hotel considering reading the reviews. The offer was for a two night stay, 3 course dinner and breakfast on both nights.

On arrival we received a free upgrade to the next best room which was available which set the tone completely for our time at the hotel. Other hotels take note! The room was clean, tidy and well appointed with tea and coffee and the usual hotel biscuits. We went down to the Lounge and had afternoon tea around 4oclock . Beautiful room, quiet atmosphere and very clean, well laid out with sophisticated service from a friendly and smiley waitress.

The Hotel restaurant was even more exceptional when we arrived for dinner at 7oclock. Fantasic feeling when walking in. The food was very well made, very finely presented, yet avoided the all-too regular mistake of fine-dining restaurants and actually gave us good sized portions.

Breakfast on both mornings was delivered to our room at our selected time and at no extra charge. Great quality breakfast with another smiley waitress even at 8 in the morning! I would definitely recommend the hotel, it's positives really made us feel welcome and would have no hesitation in coming back. We will recommend to all family and friends.

truly the best hotel we have been to in some time.

I booked this for my father's 80th Birthday and I am so glad I did. There was 14 in our party and the staff handled all the booking in details with professionalism and they were so organised I was very impressed. they couldn't do enough for you.
The hotel itself is lovely.... My parents had the Glaisdale suite and it was fantastic as were all the other rooms we had... all of them were really clean and spotless it was an absolute pleasure to stay there and we will definitely be doing so again. I would highly recommend the Palm Court Hotel... there was nothing we could fault (unlike another certain hotel around the corner... there was certainly nothing "Grand" about it....that has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at!! (19th Jan 2013).

so thanks to all the staff for everything....food was also excellent and you could order anything you wanted for breakfast.... nothing was too much trouble.

This was a spur of the moment break to scarborough, after looking on various website we decided to try the hotels direct!!! after ringing round a few this hotel was very helpful with our needs,a great deal without using other third party websites,£200 for 2 nights b&b(for the glaisdale suite),this sounds alot but go and stay and you will totally agree its well worth it,staff only more than happy to help very nice hotel alround. Dont worry other deals for the normal double rooms are available just ring for the deals.

My husband and I stayed at the Palm Court on a two night B&B basis and paid £158.00. This rate turned out to be a bargain. The lounge is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. On Saturday and Sunday the hotel serves cream tea in the lounge while the resident pianist tinkles the ivories and plays a selection of relaxing tunes.

The pool area is a little bit dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up but the pool itself was clean.

The hotel describes itself as "a 3 star hotel with 5 star values". This is evident from all the staff working at the hotel. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly, polite and we felt as though nothing was too much trouble. We had a fantastic stay at the Palm Court and we would certainly return.

Stayed with friends on dinner, bed and breakfast rate. Room was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the free parking, didn't get chance to try the pool, fabulous central location, good food, would recommend.

The room was small but we expected that and it was comfortable, although two of each item in the tea and coffee making gubbings would have been appreciated. The public areas were nicely presented and the staff generally pleasant and helpful. However the food was not brilliant. On the first morning part of our breakfast were cold, the second morning they had switched to buffer service although this consisted of a couple of bain maries and a bloke dishing things out. Much of this was also cold. Everything seemed to be deep fried even the eggs which is quite bizarre.

We dined at the hotel one evening and the dining room is lovely, proper old fashioned charm with candles and dimmed chandeliers. The food was average though, my starter of deep fried brie was small to the point of stinginess and served with far too much chutney, the bread rolls were hard and for some reason full of fennel seeds which over powered everything. Main course was fine, but my pudding of brownies was hopelessly overcooked. The best thing by far was the cheeseboard.

They also certainly know how to put the petite in the petite fours as they were tiny.
