“excellant town centre hotel”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Stopped for one night in January and the hotel was excellant, the staff were so friendly and helpful ordering taxi, suggesting place to go. Breakfast was very good, been to one of Premier's competitors recently and breakfast was luke warm, uninspiring, here breakfast was constantly kept warm by having it in pots with lids and much more choice, for instance crumpets as well as toast and proper coffee (Costa). Anyway overall a lovely hotel and would not hesitate to stop here again if in Scarborough. Easy to get to from station 5 minutes walk and close by for town centre and beach front if needed in summer.

Room Tip: just check room if on back is quiet as our room overlooked courtyard for next doors pub but to be fa...

Stopped here whilst attending an event at the Futurist Theatre. Whilst the standard of room is same as most other Premier Inns I have stopped in I have to say that the staff were on another level and were an asset to the hotel chain. Everyone we came into contact with were friendly, polite and extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend this hotel as not only are the staff a joy it is also well situated near to all amenities that Scarborough has to offer.

Good location. Really friendly staff from the bar ( who helped us claim a discount voucher ) to the reception staff. Well done and thanks. The food was served incredibly quickly in the restaurant. It wasn't fine dining but great value and tasty.

First time stay at a Premier Inn. Clean, warm and comfortable spacious room. Friendly, polite and helpful, staff from reception through to domestic staff. Good hearty breakfast in pleasant, clean surroundings. Again friendly and polite service. Happy to recommend. Will stay again.

As a student, I did not expect too high a standard for a 5 night stay. However, the staff were very polite and friendly, and extraordinarily attentive. I ate at the attached Brewers. If I had to pick a fault it would be that the food seemed mass produced, this is the only fault I can find with the service as a whole.

This is by far the best premier inn we have stayed in. The family room had a fourth bed not just a pull out mattress on the floor which was a relief as this is usually the first argument between my children as to who sleeps on the floor! It is relatively new so the room and bathroom were nice and fresh. The service in the restaurant during breakfast and evening meal was excellent, the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Its in a great position for the town centre or the seafront and we experienced no noise what so ever, either inside or outside the hotel.Probably the only down side is the lack of a car park, the ones available are quite expensive, this didn't matter to us as we arrived by train but it is a consideration. We will most definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Family rooms are usually the same price as a double but are bigger and you have a setter to sit on r...

This is certainly one of the best Premier Inns I have stayed in. It is modern clean and well located in the heart of the town centre above the south bay. There is a council car park opposite which is free between 1800 and 0900 but as we arrived early we used the Palm Court multi storey next door. This is £10 for a 24 hour period and is secure (locked between 2300 and 0700) - it also means you don't have to get up and feed the metre!

Breakfast in the Brewer's Fayre next door was fine and I like the 'kids eat free policy.'

Perhaps the most striking thing about this hotel is its staff. All very friendly, genuinely pleased to see you and extremely helpful - not something you can say for staff in lots of 'budget' hotels.
