“fantastic hotel stunning location highly recomended hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2012

i went last year to this hotel and returned again and i couldnt fault it fantastic.we arrived late on a friday evening tired so was ready for bed as it was late in the evening travelling with children.we arrived at the hotel and immediatley parked facing in the hotel opposite to the premier inn facing the main doors, which is free if you arrive after 6pm at night and is free till 9am the following morning,so we parked there and checked in which was very fast and straight forward.we arrived in the room all the beds were make for myself and children and the room was immaculatly clean could not fault it one bit.one large kingsize bed and also childrens beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from .they had air conditioning in the room as it was quite warm when we arrived this kept the room nice and cool.we was warned prior to arriving there would be some noise i can honestly say i did not hear anything and we all slept all night.in the morning we booked breakfast which is well worth the money you can go anytime between 7am to 11am,the breakfast is buy one adults breakfast at i think it was £8.99 and two children can eat free under the age of 16 with each paying adult. There is plenty to choose from from fresh fruit healthy cereals to croissants and full english breakfast the list is endless.i couldnt fault this hotel at all the staff were lovely and polite and couldnt do enough for you if you have a request.the hotel is in the centre of scarborough and is in a great location and is central to everything so you will never need to use your car in less you go out of scarborough town itself. There is one peice of advice i would give to anyone staying at the hotel what does have a car is to park over the road in the hotel opposite facing the premier inn entrance overnight free after 6pm at night till 9am the following morning and then move your car near to the ambassoder hotel which is outside the dics zone which will be free parking for the remainder off your holiday, you get to this by going round the roundabount next to the premier inn and taking the first left down the hill and go under the large blue bridge then you go up a slight hill and it will bring you near the ambassador hotel for your free parking.the walk back to town is on a lovely coastal path above the scarborough beaches and spa the views are beautiful you wont be dissapointed.i cant recomended this hotel enough so please try it you will return as we have .premier inn thankyou for a lovely holiday

As expected from a relatively new Premier Inn the facilities were clean, and more than adequate for a short stay. I've often stayed in Premiers around the UK and this was one of the best for staff. The only thing to detract is not only the lack of car parking (which I was aware of at booking) but the difficulty in finding suitable nearby car parks. We ended up paying £12 for one night in the Brunswick Shopping Centre which is locked between 6.30pm and 8.00am. The Inn staff were very knowledgeable about local parking so check with them first.

We stayed in a family room-with 2 children in single beds and one in a cot. I was worried the room would be cramped but I didn't need to be! The room was extremely spacious and had enough pillows/bedding/cups ect.... For us all. The cot had even been made up which was a nice touch.

The location was great-a 2 minute walk to the town cfmtre's high street and a 2 minute walk to the cliff side tram to the beach (fare 75p each).

We had breakfast in the adjoining brewsters pub which was only £16.50 all you can eat and drink for the 5 of us. Bargain! There was enough choice to please everybody.

The only negatives were the noise outside our room eg traffic, drunks and bin men. It only seemed to bother me though as the rest of the family slept through it! And the car park next door is £10 overnight which was extortionate!

This wouldn't put us off staying here again though, the benefits greatly outweigh the negatives, especially if you can get a £29 room

We originally booked for travel lodge but when we read the reviews the night before we quickly cancelled it and booked with Premier Inn which has been reviewed on tripadvisor as really good.

We found the room, spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff are all extremely friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

We ate dinner in the attached restaurant, it was ok, good service. We also had breakfast there which again was nothing to write home about, but basically ok.

I would definately stay here again, you know what you are gettinng with premier inns, a basically good hotel and service.

Staff great greeted with a smile and lots of local info. Position great, close to the town and close enought to the beach, food great, rooms as you would expect the same as every premier Inn and clean, parking can be an issue. We would stay again.

Just stayed at premier inn for 2 nights. Hotel is nice and new and bigger than it appears from the front. We were told it had 74 rooms in total. Our check in was swift and friendly, Lorraine the lady on the reception was very nice and gave us all the information regarding parking and breakfast etc. We had a family room on the second floor, looking out on to the 'beer garden' of a neighbouring property. The room was a nice size, clean and fresh with a good feel. The beds were comfortable, the room had a flat screen TV, a bathroom with shower and bath, a hairdryer, tea/coffee, a nice wardrobe fitment - everything you need. The room was triple glazed so no noise from the beer garden and the airconditioning/heating actually worked. So we had a very good night - lived up to the good nights sleep guarantee - even the child's bed was better than the usual pull out. The bed linen felt and looked fresh and clean - extra pillows were also provided. We also got enough towels for the three of us = double brownie points (for some reason we usually only get two at other chains) The hotel is in a brilliant position on the cliff top. Access to South bay was easy via a steep path or when the legs were too tired the tram which was just down the road. Hotel was right beside the shopping centre which was great when I left hubby in the room and had a little retail therapy for an hour. The only down side was no parking on site. However there's at least 2 pay and display car parks just over the road that were available. We chose the secure parking option of the neighbouring hotel - at a cost of £10 per 24 hours which was good value in my opinion - we didn't have to move the car from check in to check out as everything was accessible on foot. The attached restaurant was OK, the staff were helpful the food was standard pub chain food, perfectly acceptable but we only ate there once as there's so many other food options available (fish n chips on the beach - can't beat it!) We are regular visters to Scarborough and will make this hotel our 'main base' for weekend stays from now on. Pros - everything above Cons - the parking (but I wouldn't let this put you off) I highly recommend this hotel.
