Description: Eat Me Cafe sits quietly in a backstreet of Scarborough behind the world-famous Stephen Joseph Theatre. We offer a diverse multicultural menu, serving hand-packed burgers, Japanese Ramen, Shetland Pie, Thai Curries.... And much much more. 95% Of our food is made in-house from scratch. Our wide range of cakes changes daily. We serve our own much loved blend of coffee, fair trade certified and expertly roasted by The Heavenly Coffee Company and this can't be found anywhere else. All our food is cooked to order, and at busy times there may be a delay. Our chips are skin on for goodness and seasoned with Eat Me's own blend seasoning. We only use Butter on our breads and please be aware that Our Kitchen contains nuts, both kinds. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We always have dairy free butter alternatives and soya milk on request, as well as Gluten Free bread for those sandwich requirements. Also, during the day when busy you may be asked to share a table, you never know who you might meet. We love Yorkshire and Scarborough and were so proud to receive The Good Food Guide Cafe of the Year 2014 award and be in the guide again for 2015. We embrace our quirkiness, bringing a smile to our customers faces from the moment they walk in! Finally if you are in a rush for the theatre, the train or collecting the kids please let us know, we will do all we humanly can!

i have heard of this place but had never been until this week,I have only had the chance of lunch time menu. Good home cooked food. can't wait to experience the evening menu i'm sure no body will ever be disappointed.

This place gets very busy, and I understand you can book, I have found when it is busy it echoes quite bad and hard to hear conversations.

That is the only bad part I have found so far.

Just been this afternoon to Eat Me Cafe after reading a review in the YEP. It is a great cafe and I loved the style of presentation and the quirky touches. The little school milk bottles took me back although there was no cream on the top I always used to drink first! The food itself tasted fantastic and is great value for money. A definite visit next time were in Scarborough unless you fancy bringing it all to Leeds!
Well done all.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Quirkily served in wooden boxes lined with grease proof paper our meals were more than satisfying. I had the Sloppy Joe which is an unconstructed burger, essentially some cooked minced beef with a hint of chilli and sweet gherkins in a large ciabatta accompanied by some yummy thin cut chips in a paper bag, coleslaw and a small salad which could have done with a better seasoned dressing , but I'm being picky here. One of the burgers was a little dry and overcooked. I don't think you are given the option of how the burgers are cooked. A slab of delicious carrot cake finished both us a nod the meal of in style.
Well done! Will definitely return.
