“What a great find - pub lovers must visit!”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

We had a lovely family experience to the Bryherstones Inn. Tucked away at the end of quiet road, the pub has a nice cozy traditional feeling. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The choice of beer was good. The food was really excellent, the best I have ever had in a pub. Highly recommend a visit to this pub if you're in the Scarborough area.

“An Absolute Delight”

A truly wonderful place to share a meal with friends and family. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and cozy; the service is friendly and personal; and the food is absolutely wonderful.

“Sunday Lunch Treats”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

Fantastic Sunday Lunch. We go here approx once a month as a treat and a break from cooking my own Sunday lunch. Lamb and Pork are both excellent, not tried the beef. Plenty of fresh veg which are never over cooked. Lovely meaty jug of homemade gravy. Usually find room for the lime cheesecake which is a huge portion and tasty. Really nice staff and Paul who owns the pub is always friendly and remembers us each time. Roaring fire and a traditional pub feel. Cannot fault this pub. Wish it was our local.

“Delightful find..”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

We decided to have our "last night meal" here before heading home for the holiday, having read some of the reviews about the place. We booked a table and they told us it was no problem to bring the dog along (often we get told no if we're booking for a sit down meal). When we arrived the staff we really friendly and attentive. The food is quite expensive for pub fare but we all agreed it was well worth it. The food, in our opinion, was delicious as were the deserts. Dog was flat out after a full week of walking but was given plenty of fuss and a dog chew stick. Lovely atmosphere and most welcoming owners. Would definitely return..

“Cosy pub serving delicious food.”
Reviewed April 20, 2014 via mobile

We went to Bryherstones as a family on the way home from Robin Hoods Bay; little did we know we were in for such a treat.

The welcome was friendly, the fire was roaring and the food was prompt and delicious. We ordered a selection of dishes and all were piping hot, filling and flavoursome. They came with vegetables and as many chips (home cut and perfectly cooked) as we wanted. My stepdad described the gammon as the most flavoursome gammon he'd ever eaten and my salmon was delicious. The pastry on my Mum's steak pie was light and fluffy and the beef was tender. There wasn't a scrap left! They have a great variety of local drinks and a tasteful, comfy games room which would while away a rainy day! I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be going back!
