We spent two nights at the beginning of October on our way back from Scotland and can only echo many of the views of others. Very friendly, excellent food, clean room, great sea view of the north bay and provision for parking. This is a very inexpensive hotel and gets top marks for overall value. There are steps and stairs to negotiate and dinner is at 6pm prompt.
There is also a large building construction close to the hotel but this is well progressed and should not detract from the overall enjoyment of a stay.

Yes we would certainly recommend as a budget break with the best of home cookiing.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view on the second floor if you can manage the stairs

When we drove up to the hotel we looked to our right and so a nice clean looking hotel and to the left a marvellous view over the north bay.
We were met by Gavin who showed us to our room and explained the ins and outs and took our order for the evening meal, what a menu for a homely hotel.
The room was well presented and everything you wanted from soap and shower gel to tea, coffee and biscuits.
Everyone from Gavin and Sally their family and all their staff where brilliant and could not do enough to make our stay most enjoyable.
One tip, go for the halfboard option because Gavin's evening meal was well worth the price.

Room Tip: If you want to keep fit go for the higher floors

Enjoyed 4 night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Decor a little dated but I think that's a work in progress. The food was absolutely wonderful. Home cooked and tons of it! Have booked for next year.
NB Not really suitable for those people who would struggle with stairs.
