We have just returned from our annual stay at the Headlands, where we stay as a large group of parents and kids who swim at a gala at the pool just across from the hotel. Gill and Dave are always so accomodating, don't mind us ordering in some pizza in large quantities at night to eat in the lounge. They changed around the breakfast times to accomodtae the kids warm up sessions which started very early this year (which Gill had actually been and found out prior to our arrival) and didn't mind the many comings and goings. The bar was well used in the evening and a great selection of drinks both soft and alcoholic available.
The hotel was spotless as usual and very comfortable.
It is in a fantastic location and easy access to use the seafront bus.
thanks and we look forward to next year

Lindsey

Thanks ever so for your brilliant comments. It's always a pleasure to have your swimming club staying with us, it's always good fun and the kids are a credit to you, it's only the adults who are dodgy ( only joking !! ) Already looking forward to next year, see you all then.
Cheers, Dave & Gill.

Great value for money, room very clean & bed really comfy. En suite compact but fully functional, shower hot & powerful. Good location as only a short walk to the sea front, &, on a clear day there was a sea view! Breakfast has a good variety, service friendly & prompt & more than fulfilling for all appetites. Friendly, accommodating patrons which is so important, and, would definitely stay again!

Thank you very much for your excellent review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and would definately come again, we would certainly be delighted to see you both. It was just a shame that considering that you wanted a sea view it had completely disappeared because of a thick fog, however as you say it did emerge the next day.

We looked for somewhere for a 1-night stay to save us having to travel back after a long couple of days, and the reviews of this hotel looked good. Overall we were fairly happy with the stay with more positives than negatives. The place was clean and the staff there very helpful and polite, and the breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked. It was also great to have WIFI as I like to listen to the radio on my Tablet and my good lady can use FB. The room though was small and the en-suite very small, that said I am 6'3" and 20st! There was a minor issue with us being charged twice for the room, but that was just a communication issue between the owners and was resolved as soon as I highlighted it after getting home. We would definitely consider stopping there again for a 1-night stay.

Thank you very much for your mostly positive comments in your review. Apologies again for the mix up over payment and pleased that it was sorted out to your satisfaction and won't stop you visiting us again. Also next time you visit us if you would like to ring us direct I would possibly be in a position to offer you one of our rooms with the bigger shower facilities. Regards, Dave & Gill.

Looking for a small family run Hotel for long or short stay this is well worth a visit! Couple that run it are very nice and helpful with local information on places to eat and visit. Small bar in the Hotel with a good choose of drinks and draft beer and Larger. Only booked as B&B and breakfast was good. Harbour Bar in South Bay worth a visit if you like ice cream at its best. Book early as we left late and only got last room not much space but very clean. Will got back again as enjoyed the Easter break in Scarborough at the Headlands Hotel very close to North Bay. Ask them about Itailan restaurant in town good food but need to book. Go and have a lovely time away on a sort break or a long stay as we will be back again soon.

Room Tip: Just book early as last room very small.

Just the one night here, enroute back to Birmingham. No problems. Made very welcome, and directed to one of the best steaks I have ever had at the Oak Wheel, Burniston for evening meal.
Breakfast excellent --- piping hot -- as it should be. The whole place was clean and welcoming. Room was a bit small, but in view of the B & B price, I have to say this is very good value, Would definitely stay again.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the headlands for one night for a weekend at the racing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everywhere was clean and the staff were very pleasent and helpful. Nothing was never too much trouble. Breakfast in the morning was brought forward a little earlier than the scheduled time to accommodate those going to the racing. Couldn't ask for more!

We have just returned from a four night stay in Scarborough. We haven't stayed at this hotel before and we stayed in Room 6 in a twin bedded room. The room was very clean and comfortable. We did find the room very warm although we kept the windows open. We do think that the shower room needs modernising. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay and the owners go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfasts are very substantial and there is a good choice of cereals and fruit etc., We enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: If it is during a very hot period Room 6 would be v hot even with windows open.

Thank you very much for your smashing comments and am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and for the most part liked your room. As for that room being too hot ( not something that's been much of a problem for most of this year ! ) but should you come and visit us again and if you are lucky and experience a similar problem please mention it to us because we would happily provide you with a fan. You are right about the shower room being in need of a bit of modernisation and this winter the plan is to do just that. Anyway I hope we will see you both again.
Regards Dave & Gill.
