A first class hotel with excelant food and very clean. Staff(owners) were very friendly. We will definitly going back soon. The bar is great and lounge area. The whole experiance was great and is on a quiet street. The breakfast was really tasty and you have a wide variety of food to choose from. I would give it a 5/5.

Booked a three day stay on the spur of the moment and found that the Headlands Hotel was all it says on its website. The room though smallish was immaculately clean and well presented. The "full English breakfast" was brilliant . The owners friendly and obliging. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Booked the Headlands Hotel for an annual group weekend which takes place at various venues around the country. From our very first contact enquiring about rates etc we found the proprietors Dave and Gill very easy to deal with and quickly made the decision to book for our weekend.

Our group comprising 26 people arrived at various times during Thursday from all over the country, we had to have a set menu for dinner that evening, other nights there were options.

The hotel is very clean having had a full refurbishment over the last few years, the rooms are cleaned daily and although some of the en-suites are a bit compact this is not a great problem.

Meals were of a good standard, served promptly and special diets were catered for.

The location is good in the quieter end of Scarborough but you are maybe a 10 minute stroll from local buses. If you drive then there is plenty of parking either on street or in the small car park at the rear and the hotel is a good base to explore the many attractions in North Yorkshire.

It is certainly a hotel we will put on our "go there again" list. Excellent value for money, good standards and a friendly welcome. Highly recommended by the Land's End John o' Groats Association.

Stayed here a while ago for 1 night.
The heating was on a timer that went off at 7pm. The radiators in the room could not be turned on after this time. Whats the point of turning the heating off when people are coning back into the hotel after a day out!!!
The bed was lumpy, the pillows rock hard and I was itching all night.
I didn't slep a wink and as I was so cold, had to take a shower at 2am to try to get warm. The shower was tiny and the basin made such a squeaky racket I thought I must have woken up the people in the room below.
I complained the next morning as I handed over my money for the stay. There was no apology just a "yes the matress on that bed is due to be replaced". No discoun't was offered.
My weekend away was spoiled as I was so tired the next day, I couldn't
enjoy the day and just wanted to go home so I could have a sleep.
Breakfast was good though.

Booked the Headlands Hotel at very short notice and was immediately impressed when they offered to switch some rooms around so that our two children could be in an adjacent room. On arrival found the hotel to be very comfortable and both our rooms and the resident's facilities were immaculate. Breakfast the following morning was of a very high standard with a wide choice of options. Evening meals are available but have to be booked in advance and there is only one sitting at 6pm but at £11 (£5.50 for children) for a three course meal including coffee this represented excellent value and the meals were obviously home cooked and of a very high standard.
The hotel is situated within walking distance of North Bay (much quieter than South Bay and less touristy), Peasholm Park and a large indoor swimming pool. There is a small car park and plenty of free parking outside the hotel. In addition to the restaurant there is a small TV lounge and a very comfortable bar.
The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was cleaned to the highest possible standard and rooms were serviced daily. Our only reservation was a rather small (but immaculate) en-suite shower room.
