“Proper food, good value.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

What a pleasant lunch we had here over the easter break. Very traditional home cooked food, at reasonable prices. Wine and beer served too. Good service by very friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. The chocolate cake looked amazing and calorific! Nice views from the restaurant over Scarborough.

“Fantastic watering hole”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

This is a fantastic little café. Dropped in here during a ride out with other biker friends. There’s a very warm welcome, great service, the food is very reasonably priced and to a very high standard.

A nice, clean and very good watering hole. With a great view overlooking the bay.

Definitely be dropping in there again.

“Great view shame about the food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

What a disappointment. I visited this restaurant following a recommnedation from a friend. While the view over Scarborough is fantastic, the cooked breakfast that I had was very poor. The sausage was cheap and nasty, like the sort you find in fish and chip shop, and the bacon was so overcooked it was like cardboard. I am not a big fan of fried bread but in this case it was so overcooked it was like concrete. At least the egg, mushroom and tomato was okay, though.

One positive thing - they have a good selection of drinks, including good old fashined Horlicks!

Give it a miss!

“Worth it for the view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

This is a cafe with a great view over Scarborough's south bay. The food was nothing special (I had a rather dry coffee cake) but really, you go for the views, not the food. They also do Sunday lunch and full meals but I would hesitate to describe it as a "restaurant".

Keep an eye out for the signed photos of various celebs who have dropped in over the years. David Essex, Nora Batty, one Nolan sister, and that young guy off Corrie, it really is a roll-call of the rich and famous!

There is also a small shop selling gifts and knock-knacks.
