stopped here for one night, it was ok i suppose you get what you pay for. the bedroom was clean and the staff were friendly enough especially when i was at the bar at 2am ... no real problems i would stay here again ( HALF THE PRICE OF THE HOTEL AROUND THE CORNER) that helps LOL ..

stayed here for one night in June room most basic i have ever stayed in. view from room was a derelict building, breakfast was very nice but they could not keep up with demand on the buffet table. which slowed things down. found a great Chinese restaurant about a ten minute walk away called the Kam Sang

very bland depressing building inside, typical no frills.
Room we stopped in was massive could have fit another 4 beds in, but instead travelodge fit it out with a double and a bed settee that wasnt fit for my 2 dogs never mind 4 lads..!
Shower was luke warm, damp on the walls in the room and all the corridors and stairwells.
wont return

Experienced another great stay at Scarborough Travelodge. Our 4th time and have booked again for Sept. We travel by train with our pet dog and find the location excellent, near to the station and next to the beach,
We were conveniently situated on the first floor, room was very spacious, bathroom was a big shower room, bed comfy and clean, view wasn't great, dirty handprints on doors and light switches but only takes a moment to clean yourself is no big deal, noisy family in room above us, staff helpful to resolve, fortunately they checked out early. I don't think this was the fault of Travelodge unless there is a particular problem with soundproofing in this room (128).
If you run out of anything or need extra pillows just ask at reception and staff are really helpful. For the amount of money you pay on the saver rate tariff you are getting great value for money, a good nights sleep, tv to watch, lovely hot shower and a great flushing loo!
For other doggy holiday people to share - go for breakfast at the harbour view café and enjoy an evening meal at the highlander (on the esplanade) both dog friendly.

my wife and i booked a three night stay at this hotel as it was close to the sea. the room was on the top floor serviced by a lift that can only be described as tiny, it said four people but two with a case each and it was full ?. the room had a window that i doubt had been cleaned since the hotel opened. the worst was yet to come as the noise from the screeming seagulls went on throughout the night and i thought they slept during the night i now know they dont. the gulls sceeching made it impossible to enjoy any sleep,
the bathroom light had no shade and the shaving light whitch sat at a jaunty angle was also broken. after three sleepless nights we were grateful to be going home. i would not recomend this hotel its not worth anything above £15 a night and we paid a lot more. pay the extra and stay in the premier inn just around the corner. dont forget to take a bottle of watter to clean the gulls dropings off your car each morning.

Room Tip: stay at some other hotel.
