We stayed at this B@Bfor 3 nights and the hosts are extremely friendly, nothing is too much
trouble and the breakfasts are massive.Would recommend to friends and family. There is a
hairdryer in all rooms - great for the ladies!! In the bathroom there are shower gels and
shampoos. Biscuits are changed every day and there's plenty of tea and coffee.

We have just enjoyed a Monday to Friday break at St. Michaels with Jan & Ed. The Guest house is immaculate and spotlessly clean. We had room 3 - a bay windowed bedroom at the front of the property and felt most comfortable. The tea tray was replenished every day, the bathroom towels replaced as necessary and we were more than happy. What we were unprepared for was the 'Posh' breakfast which was served every day of our stay (a photo uploaded for you to view). We have to say that the breakfast was the best we have every had in any trip we have ever made (we are mature travellers so have considerable hotels/guest houses to compare this to). The statement that you would not need any thing else to eat during the day but an evening meal was a statement of fact as the quality and quantity offered was beyond excellent. Jan & Ed are a delightful couple whose sole aim is to ensure that their guests receive the best possible hospitality. As Trip Advisor is our bible when researching a trip, and the excellent reviews determined our stay at St. Michaels, we can only endorse whole heartedly what a lovely Guest house it is and we would recommend it without hesitation. We hope to visit Scarborough again very soon and this will be the place for us to stay without a doubt. Many thanks Jan & Ed from Sue and 'the Vale fan'.

Jan and Ed were very welcoming on arrival and nothing is too much to ask for. Rooms are very clean and cosy and the b&b is in just the right location, easy to walk into Scarborough town. Breakfast was massive and cooked to perfection! A lovely b&b run by very friendly hosts, would recommend this b&b to anyone and would stay again! :):) Mark and Holly (Up The Rams Ed!)

Well done ed and Jan!
You made our holiday special as it was Tayos birthday.
You should be very proud of what you have achieved and what experience you gave - most places dont do half of what you do.
Where do i start????
-its like you are part of the family as nothing is too much trouble.
rooms are very very clean and in the family room children are given chocs, drinks, dvds, books and even colouring books(this kind thought is lovely(shows they care about there guests)
Breakfast is the best in the world - the biggest cooked breakfast, cereal. fresh fruit ,yogarts, tea , coffee and fresh fruit juice(they even supply a highchair and baby cutlery)

THEY HAVE WON A AWARD AND IT SHOWS WHY THIS WAS GIVEN!
IF THEY WAS ANOTHER AWARD UP FOR GRABS THEY WOULD WIN AGAIN!
EVERYBODY SHOULD EXPERIANCE THIS GUEST HOUSE.

LOTS OF LOVE LIANNE X

We stayed two nights recently and Ed and Jan, the owners of the guesthouse, could not do enough for us. On arrival we were given a cup of coffee and as the room was not yet ready they offered to take our bag to the room and even hung our jackets up in the wardrobe. The room was excellent the bed was very comfortable and cleanliness was supreme. The guest house was very close to the town centre and we walked everywhere so there was no need for extra expense on travel. There were plenty of options for entertaining yourself with shops or bars and restaurants closeby including one very friendly local pub called the Angel. The best thing about this guesthouse was the massive hearty breakfast that is cooked to perfection upon arrival to the breakfast room so nothing was allowed to get cold. We would definitely recommend this guest house and will most certainly be returning in the not too distant future. Paul and Cheryl
