I walked 10 minutes from the Railway Station and easily found the Kingsway in a group of similar properties converted to Guesthouses, just past St Columbus Church. I came for a weekend conference and was provided with a map and given directions and keys to the outer door. The room was small, but well decorated, clean, with smart bed linen, a wash basin and the bathroom was excellent and just along a short corridor. A robe was provided as were tea/coffee making facilities, in fact everything needed for a comfortable weekend. There was a choice of breakfast menu but I had cerials, orange juice and a full English breakfast with plenty of bacon and perfect free range eggs, real ground coffee and wholemeal toast, jam and marmalade. There was an excellent fresh flower arrangement in the guest Lounge and fresh flowers on the breakfast tables. The double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Friendly and excellent value accommodation.

Room Tip: Make sure that you take your key with you as the doors are self locking. Everything was provided wit...

We stayed at The Kingsway over the Easter weekend and found the place to be a brilliant B&B. We had our 1.5 year old son with us and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The guest lounge meant we could stay up a little later than our son and the Breakfast was brilliant. The owners Christine and John went out of their way to make all the guests feel welcome and we certainly intend to be back. Highly recommended.

Long weekend in Scarborough with my wife to plan for Golden wedding next year. This address was her family home in the 1960's. Nicely modernised, welcoming & helpful hosts, super hot breakfasts. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a three night stay with my mother. Bedroom very clean with comfy beds. We had dinner on each night and Christine's cooking is 4 star quality. We had a choice of starter, main and sweet on each night and enjoyed the delicious meals, including freshly cooked vegetables. Nice also to have a bar facility. Excellent breakfasts. The guest lounge is extremely comfortable with big leather settees. Christine and Neil are excellent hosts and we already miss Neil's cheerful banter. We will definitely be returning!

Lovely little guest house. The hosts are very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and very hot which in our experience is quite rare. Room was small but had everything we needed. Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Only down side was the shower was not very good (low water pressure i think).
On quite a busy street but traffic noise wasnt a problem. About 15min walk to centre of town. about 5 min walk to Peasholme Park. Where we brought an all day ticket for open top bus that took us to sea front.

Room Tip: We had room 6 (top floor) Water pressure wasnt very good
