Stayed here last weekend, travelled across by train , it's about a 15 minute walk from the station or 3-5 mins in a taxi.

Gary the host was very helpful and informative about the area. Our room #1 was very clean , bright and a decent size. Breakfast was served between 8.15-9.00am and we enjoyed it.

Guesthouse located by Peasgood Pk which is beautiful , we fed the ducks, swans and geese.

Had a lovely weekend and would recommend this guesthouse. :0)

We saw the dolpin guest house on late rooms.com at a great rate for a double room so decided to book direct and rang them. Great service all round was greated with a friendly welcome and even had our bags carried for us. Was staying in Scarborough for a engagement party at short notice and was worried we may of had to book two nights, but one night was fine as wasn't peak season yet. The breakfast was great with lots of choice and everything was fresh. the room was basic but very clean and had use of kettle and hair dryer there was also more then enough towels. Great little find

This is a clean and lovely guesthouse with a warm welcome and lovely hot fresh English Breakfast.
Only draw back was the road noise as had front of building room.
Would stay again.

Stayed in the guest house while hiking the Cleveland Way. Guest house is close to the long distance trail and only a shortish stroll away from downtown, a little further from the castle, the harbor and the South Bay. The place is tidy, the room was okay for what we had booked. Loved the bath tub in the private bath after a long day hiking. Private bath was not en-suite, but other than that the facilities met what we had asked for. The host was very helpful, pointed out a few good restaurants (the one we then chose was really good) and was friendly and interested in all his guests, not just surface interest. Breakfast was good and plentyful.
We would stay there again. Online booking was good, too, saved us the hassle on our way out, being a little short in time.

We stayed at the dolphin hotel for three nights over the easter holidays.
My wife and I in aged 50 were in a family room with ensuit and my 15 year old daughter in a double room with her own bathroom right next door .
The rooms are very nice tea and coffee facilities and basicly everthing you need for a comfortable stay .
The towels were changed daily and the beds made as well unusal nowadays.
Gary the host was brilliant freindly and offered advice if and when you wanted it.
Now the important bit the breakfast was fantastic cerial to start then a wonderful full english breakfast and copius supplies of toast and jam.
We agreed we couldnt find a fault with the dolphin hotel and we have already recommended it family and friends.
To finish the location is brilliant and Gary gives you a parking permit for the entire lenth of youre stay so we left the car from day one and walked everywhere.
BRILLIANT GARY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

I stayed here in August with my partner for one night. I was pleasently surprised on arrival at how nice the place was, total bargain!
Our room was ace, clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent.
I cannot think of anything bad to say at all.
We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, the location was also good, near to Peasholm park and a short walk to the bus terminus on the promenade.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitley stay at the Dolphin next time we visit Scarborough.
