We've just spent another marvelous 4 night break in this delightful hotel. We somehow find ourselves coming here about twice a year and it just seems to get better. The addition of Sophies smiling face and professional and friendly demeanour made the stay that extra special, with thanks also to Signe, Clare and Sheena & of course Allan! Catering overall has improved and choice, variety and portions are spot on. If you want something just ask.

The sea view rooms are excellent and a welcomed gesture is the gratius bottle of water. Excellent value and the reason we return so regularly - even though we have never seen other guests younger than ourselves - it suits us perfectly. The hotel can be on the warm side so take some lighter clothing! See you all again in 4-5 months!

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter, sea views are worth the extra

We stayed for four nights at the Elizabeth Hotel in October half term. It was our second stay.

The welcome, service and friendly atmosphere were as strong as ever. The food, which was very good last year, was even better this year, with wider choice and slightly more adventurous menus. The rooms were comfortable and well looked after each year. Wifi is useful, even though the signal is a bit intermittent.

Sidmouth and the surrounding area are very pleasant with lovely coastal views, beautiful coastal walking and charming seaside villages and towns. Access to the local swimming pool is included within the hotel stay and makes a nice addition to the facilities on offer.

All in all a most enjoyable stay. I'm sure we'll be back.

Room Tip: The rooms in the seafront with balconies are particularly attractive.

We had an overnight stay this week for the first time and it was very enjoyable. The room was overlooking the sea with a balcony and although not terribly big was designed to make the most of every square inch. Everything was spotless and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Well worth a visit.

This is the 2nd time now that we have stayed at the Elizabeth, both times in a group of 6 and my in-laws have been coming here for 16 years!

We cannot fault it, very nice hotel, very tidy rooms, and cleaned every day. The food is all very nice & well presented, a wonderful full English breakfast or other items if wanted, evening meals are top quality & to restaurant standard, and always a very good choice of starters,5 mains & desserts. The staff are all very friendly but it was Sophie who I found stood out, what a wonderful member of staff, always very jolly and very helpful and a credit to this hotel.

Room Tip: We all had the sea view rooms at the front, 22, 24, 26 (26 has a balcony you can also sit out on and enjoy the weather) it is a great spot to sit back in the chairs and watch the world go by!! and of course the Sea
