A non smoking room that stank and had fag burns, a bed that had seen its last day in circa 1990, a bathroom with more stains than the film train spotting, pea green walls just in case you didn't feel ill enough.... Not the experience you want when away on business and need to be up early and refreshed!

Booked for two nights here on route to Windsor. Arrived late on the Friday night to a very warm welcome from the front desk staff. Up grade to executive room too as we have ambassador status. After taking bags up to the room decided to pay a visit to the bar. Was not even greeted by the bar staff and found the tall lady serving very rude! Beer was cold so not all bad. Had one drink and left as needed to be up early for the day in Windsor. Shame she was so rude as we would have stayed for at least one more. She really did not have the skills to be serving people at a bar.
Room very clean and comfortable, good bathroom and facility's so made for a very pleasant stay.
Ordered room service on the Saturday night on return, was very surprise to be charged £4.50 for room service!!! To bring a tray up to your room and be charged that was a bit over the top we felt. Yes I guess some where in the small print( as usual) it would have said that a charge would be made but really...
It has to be said, food was very good, hot and quick to come.
Another thing to watch out for is the parking charge at £5 per night. Why??? It's not like its a n c p car park! It's on land around the hotel! Walls very thin and was woken by the couple next door at 4 am having a row! We even had the pleasure of listening to them make up at 10 am!
Good taxi service into Windsor from the hotel.
Quick check out, no problems.

Room Tip: 8 th floor has the best rooms!

Myself, my hubby and our 6 year old son stayed here from Friday 18th - Sun 20th Oct. We purchased this hotel through LEGOLAND Holidays and got our tickets free into LEGOLAND
(1 day + 1 day free, bargain). The hotel was brilliant, the staff were so nice and friendly even at breakfast and dinner times, in the bar and the restaurant. The room was lovely, looked like it had been just done up. You can't check in until 2.00pm, we flew into Luton and hired a car then drove 35-40 mins to the hotel, very easy to find (providing you bring your sat naf), then LEGOLAND is only about 15-20 mins away from the Hotel, again easy enough to find. The hotel were nice enough to let us leave our bags there until we came back as we arrived very early. The hotel do take £50 from your card, just as a holding charge, we didn't use this as we paid for our drinks and meals in cash, if you don't use this then it will go back to your account. The food in the buffet on the Friday evening was just okay so on the Sat night we ate in the bar (a la carte) and the food was lovely. I did look at the buffet menu on the Sat night and the menu was a lot better, more to choose from but it is good value for money, £15 per adult and kids eat free. The breakfast is a buffet style as well, with fruit, cereal and cooked breakfast along with chocolate muffins, croissants etc to choose from, very relaxed and a lot of choice. The hotel was busy and I think a lot of people use this for LEGOLAND as well, it is also close to Heathrow Airport so would be good to use if on business. I would most definately use this hotel again if going to LEGOLAND, the hotel is not that far from Windsor Castle also, we were lucky enough to take a drive up to there on the Sat night and get some photos taken, it was beautiful. All in all, we had a fab stay with Holiday Inn..... and will definately be back. : )

Room Tip: The rooms on the first floor are lovely and easy to get to the restaurant in the morning for breakfast or in the evening as they are on the same floor.

I stayed at this hotel recently for 4 nights on a business trip, the staff were friendly and polite and check in and out was quick and smooth.

Hotel room itself was a little depressing, bathroom could do with some modernisation, radiator was not working and room was cold, bed was not very comfortable but there was a selection of pillows to choose from which helped slightly, and there was a strange white stain on the curtain. Had a great choice of tv channels and tea and coffee replenished daily.

Wifi rates are too expensive - I tethered my phone to my iPad instead, £12 per day and £5 per hour - ouch, and the parking is £5 per day too, most mornings I had to wait at the reception desk whilst people are checking out for a parking release ticket, this is a pain in the butt and almost made me late one day for a meeting. There were always plenty of parking spaces though and an underground car park as well.

The hotel is situated in a convenient area for the m4, Windsor and Legoland but the area it is in is quite depressing, there is a strip club next door and signs all over the car park about dog patrols and such which made me feel quite uneasy rather than protected. I would not walk around at night alone and drove to a Tesco and Sainsburys a few times which was about 2 miles away.

The food was not great, I had room service for 3 nights and on 2 occasions the food was cold, and one evening I ordered a burger and could not eat it - it was very dry and did not taste fresh, but the following evening I had fish and chips and that was very nice and arrived at the room hot.

Overall this is an average holiday inn, if you want no frills and just somewhere to put your head down then you will be ok, if you are looking for anything else don't get your hopes up.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were doing a stopover at Legoland. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was average. Just what you'd expect from a holiday inn in the UK. The breakfast was okay. Not much selection. It was a free night so I can't complain.
