I'm a regular visitor to this restaurant but I haven't posted here before. This restaurant is head and shoulders above any other eating establishment of any type in Slough, period.Trust me I've visited them all.Al Fanouse(it means a Genie/ Ghost in arabic) serve delicious, freshly prepared savoury and spicy foods with a lovely selection. The Owner and all his staff are unfailingly friendly, patient and helpful, even making suggestions if you're not too sure what you want, just ask them. The portions are generous although this restaurant is one the those where "less is definitely more" in other words I'm sure you'll enjoy you food so much that you won't want more. The decor and furniture is adequate if rather rudimentary but this place is a legend in the making, no question. If you're coming to Slough make you eat at this restaurant and I'm absolutely sure that 1) you will glad you did and 2) you will return

I ordered takeaway from Al-Fanouse a few years ago and it was very good. However, when I ordered again today I was very, very disappointed. Although their leaflet says they offer free delivery "12 noon - 12 midnight", I was told I'd have to collect it as they don't deliver on Sundays. I didn't actually mind that too much. However, the food turned out to be cold, so all 4 meals had to be reheated in the microwave. Then we found an eyelash in one of the meals. The taste of the food itself was awful; the falafel tasted like a ball of salt, the bread was soggy and the chicken rubbery. Nobody was able to eat more than a few spoonfuls. When I called up, the manager was not very helpful at all.
All in all, a huge, huge disappointment. I would definitely not recommend it.

This is not a fancy place. More of a take away with a few tables inside. However, the quality of the food is first rate and at a very reasonable price. Portions are huge as well. The owner/manager was marvelous. Very friendly and helpful. My daughter has Coeliac and can't do gluten. When we found out the tabouli had some gluten in it, he went above and beyond and went to the kitchen himself to prepare a gluten free tabouli just for her! Amazing.

Its not a couple's restaurant, more of a take away. But the food is very tasty. A lot of options. And for £5, you get loads... Highly recommended.

Came here as a flying visit from Reading to see a couple of friends. We heard this place does shisha so decided to go and found although it was pricey, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming & there was lots on offer. Location wise- a 5min walk from the train station & set in the town centre. Worth a visit
