I have stayed at "The Farm" for Nearly 13 years, I have always found the level of service, accommodation and food to be of an excellent standard. The staff are very helpful and friendly and as is sometimes the case helpful at arranging bookings and contacting me when rooms become available. I have seen many changes at the "Farm" over the years, new accommodation, new restaurant, updated menu's and changes to the bar area. All area's are served with SuperFast Broadband - one of the pleasing benefits when staying.

But the same experience I had on my first visit still remains today.

One thing that never changes is the very high standards set but more importantly maintained. Pricing of the accommodation for the standard is well above expectation, the rooms are large, air conditioned and very tastefully decorated. The price for food if eating here is good value for money and of the same high standards as the Hotel. "Williams" has been updated in the last 18 months but the menu remains varied and covers all needs. The addition of the Bar/Eating area is good when travelling or visiting alone.

The setting is well used for both business and pleasure with excellent gardens and parking available, A Very nice location for a Wedding or special event. Rooms are situated to allow guests to access "as and when" required and range in Name from "Badger" to "GameKeepers"...My personal favorite is "Gardeners" or "LongHorn" both very nice. Its the first place I try and book a room when travelling to the area, more often than not the hotel is full.......but the wait list is worth it....

Room Tip: All Rooms are good - You wont be dissapointed.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel, it is a great source of pride to us that we have so many regulars that return to stay with us time and time again (although it does make it difficult to squeeze everyone in!).

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here. We hired the Stables and had use of the gardens and the country house ground floor.

The weather was certainly on our side and we we're able to have our ceremony outside in the gardens which was just fantastic. The outdoor setting was perfect and all our guest loved it. We hired a live singer for after the ceremony whilst photos were going on (wife's idea) I must admit that just made the atmosphere and made the part of the wedding that can be a bit of a drag one of the best bits and talked about all day. Whilst this was all going on the staff we're running around making sure everyone had drinks and canapes.

The Stables was just right of the number of guests we had for a sit down (50) food was excellent and service was done very professionally. It was also ample size for our evening guests which probably pushed the numbers up to about 90.

The bridal suite was top quality and a lovely room. Bed was very comfy. A few of our wedding guest stayed over and nobody had a bad word to say about there room or the venue. Breakfast was good too.

The venue was just perfect and all the staff were very professional and made sure that the day ran perfectly. Louis looked after us on the day/night and he was on top of everything. Big thank you to him for coordinating everything and making sure it all ran smoothly.

The venue couldn't have done anything more to make sure our day was perfect.

Thank you to all involved. (Gavin and Sarah)

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location, I was quite surprised on arrival, I was not too sure what to expect and i thought i had stumbled on a gem, i was right.
I would like to spend a quiet weekend break there, as the surroundings are quite different from the normal hotel locations.

I spent 5 nights in the Tewin Bury and arrived after a long flight from Singapore to a warm welcome at reception and a very comfortable courtyard room with excellent shower facilities . In fact my little Grandson ,who with his Mum picked me up most days to visit the beauty of Hertfordshire and spend time together, thought this may be my UK home whilst visiting from Australia. Although there were a number of weddings over the Bank Holiday weekend, this did not in anyway interfere with the peace and pleasure of my stay. Breakfast in the Restaurant particularly the Smoked Haddock ( which I miss since living in Sydney,Australia)was very good. I certainly was very impressed at the Young breakfast Waitress remembering that I enjoyed it the day before and asked if I wanted to order it again.

My husband and I were married at Tewin Bury Farm hotel in the Tythe Barn in March. We booked our date well over a year in advance because it is such a popular venue. The wedding and events team were extremely helpful in the initial stages providing advice and assistance where needed. We would like to thank Steph in particular who dealt with most of our queries and was very friendly and helpful.

Although on the whole we received very good service from the team there were a couple of issues which were not dealt with quite so efficiently, which happened to coincide with a change of wedding co-ordinator handling our wedding. One example would be when we went for the menu tasting and were told by the restaurant staff that it would be possible to ask each guest how they would like their lamb cooked on the wedding day. We were subsequently told by the wedding and events team that this would not be possible due to the numbers at our wedding. This was not really a surprise to us but showed a lack of communication between the teams. We would like to add however, that the service we received at the restaurant (and in fact every time we have been to the Tewin Bury restaurant) has been professional and memorable.

The day before the wedding we were introduced to Yana who was in charge of co-ordinating the wedding day. We would like to thank Yana and her team who provided exceptional service on the day. They received many compliments from our guests. The day ran extremely smoothly and was a day we will never forget. They even managed to provide fantastic weather!!

The venue itself is a stunning barn with plenty of character, with exposed wooden beams, a thatched roof and a balcony area which looks over the main barn floor. The venue has its own bar, and outdoor area for exclusive use for Tythe Barn guests. The ceremony takes place in the main barn area (we had 100 guests), this area is also used for the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. There is plenty of space at the bar area and outside for guests to relax whilst the room is being turned around (around 2 hours for the wedding breakfast and 45 minutes for the evening reception).

In addition to getting married at Tewin Bury we stayed at the hotel several times before the wedding. The rooms in the hotel are clean, cosy and luxurious. The amenities in the room include toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge amongst others. We also stayed in the hotel on the night of our wedding (the bridal suite for the Tythe Barn). We have had a good night's sleep each time we have stayed here, very comfy beds! Just a quick mention about the food, it is extremely well presented and very tasty. The buffet breakfast in particular does not disappoint, make sure to try the sausages!

On the whole we look back with fond memories of our wedding day and could not have chosen a nicer venue. We will definitely be returning either for dinner, afternoon tea or a night's stay.

Katie and Mike

Room Tip: The rooms in the farmhouse are lovely and have lovely views of the surrounding gardens and fields.
