From the moment you walk in its excellent, The perfect pint to the perfect service. The lunch menu was exciting, the mussels were to die for and my partner's soup was the best she had tasted for years. The main was Black Sea Bass was a picture and it was so delicate and tasty. The Beer Battered Cod and chips was excellent, the tartar sauce so tasty.Super dessert, French apple tart and ice cream, worth the wait. Washed down with a lovely white wines. I was that impressed, I booked to go again, to savor the evening menu,

“A fine 'Wine and Dine' Evening”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

My wife and I always take great pleasure to dine at the Waggoners. Laurent and his staff set a high restaurant standard with a silver service and white crisp table settings placed in comfy intimate surrounds.

We hadn't been for dinner for sometime so we chose to take advantage of Laurent’s monthly wine tasting and dining experiences. Each course is served with a wine appropriate to the meal from varying regions of France or Italy. Usually there are four wines to be sampled with the producer on hand to discuss his wines.

Last night the 3 course dinner was served with a fine accompaniment of wines from the Mâconnais and Beaujolais regions. Most agreeable, we even opted to buy a dozen bottles!!

If you have yet to try one of these ‘wine & dine’ samplings I can recommend. Where even on a raw, freezing cold Wednesday night the restaurant was virtually full. So, make sure you get on the monthly mailing list!

“Excellent customer service, delicious food”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We went here for a set menu Valentine's meal and weren't disappointed. The quality of food was excellent, the highlight being the delicious lamb shank with parsnip purée and the tarte tatin. Yum! The service was slick and impeccable, we felt truly looked after and didn't have to wait too long between courses or for the bill as we have gradually been getting used to over the years.
The wine list was excellent and they stock a good variety. I will be coming back here and I will be thoroughly recommending it to all I know.

Not brilliant, Toby Restraunt's much better!
Meat second rate, spuds and veg not great.
Wine and atmosphere great, dined hear several times before but will give the Sunday lunch a miss from now on.
