Good for social drinks with friends but not brilliant on food.
Still it has plenty of parking spaces and is spacious inside.

Due to snow being forecast for the next morning
we made a hasty decision to book a room for the
night and be close to Manchester airport. For a
reasonable price we found this lodge advertised.
On arrival we were given a warm friendly welcome from
Dennis and were allocated a quiet room away from
the road. The room was large, bed clean and comfortable.
Tea, coffee and drinking chocolate provided. We had our
evening meal next door at The Bulls Head which was excellent.

Excellent location for Manchester airport, and really easy to find. Lots of parking spaces well away from the main road. Check-in was quick, easy and very friendly. Breakfast offered, but doesn't start till 8.30am at the weekend, which was after we had to leave for our flight. No lift to 1st floor rooms which wasn't an issue for us, but might be for some travellers with heavy luggage. Room was clean, tidy and in good condition with everything we needed including a password for free wireless internet access. Very quiet room overlooking the bowling green - a great night's sleep.

Dinner in the Bulls Head pub was very good. Excellent service, great draught beer and very very good food at reasonable prices. Pub was clean and friendly with a really nice atmosphere and no loud music! Bar staff offered to put the food bill onto our room bill - unusual in split location hotels, so really nice service to have here.

Check-out was very fast and efficient. Even when there was a query over our food bill (which hadn't made it over from the pub), it took less than 5 minutes to resolve, and was done with smiles and apologies. Overall - a great find, and we'll certainly be using it again instead of the usual bland, concrete, airport options.

Room Tip: No lifts to 1st floor rooms - be warned if travelling with heavy luggage.

A convenient spot for an overnight stay before an early flight from Manchester Airport. Good value for money.
Room was nicely done but really smelt of cigarette smoke especially in the bathroom. Obviously some selfish person had smoked in it. Staff helpful in booking an early taxi for us.
Pillows very thin and no extra ones available. Only one hot chocolate in a double room. Not staffed in the evening - have to go to the pub for requests.
Pub next door was excellent - friendly staff and atmosphere.
In all good for one nights stay but could be bought up to a good standard with a few minor changes.
