Hoping for authentic Italian and going on the San Carlo connection, we were optimistic. The evening turned out to be a terrible disappointment. It was Saturday night but the restaurant was not busy. However, the food was very, very slow to appear. When it did, it ranged from poor to less than average. The veal dish would not have looked (or tasted) out of place in a school canteen.
The staff seemed embarrassed (and rightly so!) and offered us more wine but food was what we wanted.
Sorry but you are going to have to sort out your problems if you are going to be successful. I wont be going back I'm afraid.
