We booked a table for 1730, which is when the restaurant opens.
Being an early booking, we had the restaurant to ourselves. Nice and quiet and service was great.
Started off with nice crispy fishcakes.
It was a Friday, which is "Fish Night" so Fish and chips was an added option. Nice crispy batter, no bones in fish, tartar sauce and peas."Proper" Chips ( must have been about half a potato each). All delicious.
Followed up with Bread and Butter Pudding and trio of Ice creams.
Breakfasts were much busier and service good.
Starter Buffet with usual choices of drinks, yogurt, fruit, cereals etc. We opted for the cooked breakfast. Sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, haggis and tomato. Just the right amount for us. Many other choices on menu.
The restaurant staff, and the rest of the hotel staff were all very friendly and efficient.
