A group of us visited Amici Restaurant last night, 2nd march, and we had a wonderfully authentic and tasty meal. The waiting staff were friendly and excellently attentive ensuring we had drinks and breads almost straight away. The new owner made us very welcome too, offering his recommendation for the specials etc. this really is the kind of service that larger chains miss out on! I had the Mussels to start which were so fresh, my girlfriend went for the mushrooms and our friends bruschetta and calamari. Our mains consisted of steaks in a wonderfully rich and creamy peppercorn sauce with sautéed veg, the meatballs with macaroni cheese (superb) and the crab linguini, again excellent! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for proper cooking, a cosy & warm atmosphere and great staff!
