Lovely open walks around former gravel pits by River Ouse on tree-lined paths or pasture with two parking areas (free or donation). Flat so suitable for all ages and abilities. Wildlife (birds mainly) with hides and wood sculptures and alternative routes depending on purpose. Recently added outdoor play structures near entrance plus the excellent Teazels cafe. Used to be too small (a long shed with faded windows) but since expansion a few years back with terrance etc. is great and always busy. Pricing is mid/high for a cafe but more than reflected in the choice and quality of homemade fayre and a treat for after a walk or just a break.
Tip - don't use the prominent ice-cream van in the car park unless you're desperate. Expensive for what you get (very small portions).
