“Very good and clean”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We love Oasis, despite it being quite far from us. It is clean, and it has a variety of facilities including slides, powerful lazy rivers (one outdoor in the summer which is great), a wave pool and jacuzzi, as well as a toddlers' pool. Sometimes it does get a little busy at which point it is hard to find a changing room.

The poolside staff are very attentive and the others very customer friendly. I wish the pools closer to home could be like this.

They are closing for most of the next few weeks for refurbishment, which to me is a sign that the place will continue to be properly maintained, which I like.

“Great Fun!”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

A large pool with lots of fun for kids: waves, slides, rapids etc. Often busy during holidays but calm during the week for toddlers.

“Once kids are swimmers this is great!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

We visited with our 6 year old daughter who has recently been able to swim unaided. Even so I stayed close to her and will be happier when she is a bit more confident in the water :-)

The pool is great for kids from about this age - smaller kids who need support will struggle or be excluded from some of the fun areas of the pool and children under 5 cannot ride the flumes.

It's not cheap but we got good value from our family ticket and there is so much to do with all the rapids, slides, waves, outdoor pool area etc that I didn't begrudge the higher cost compared to a regular pool.

“Great for families”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

If i had a young family then i would have given this an excellent rating but if you just want to go and swim then this is not for you (or me). Nice to see so many children and families having a fun time.

“Good fun pool, best in the area !”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

Oasis at Bedford is a fun pool. Fun in abundance if you're a swimming family! It has a fast and slower slide, sloping area with bubble jets and the deeper area has a current for a lazy river and wave machine. There is also an outdoor area (opened sependent in weather) and a seperate childs pool. Perfect for the children! There is a jacuzzi which you access out of the pool. The childs pool is quite deep,(four foot or so) large and has a stepped area all around the edge where children can sit, jump off from and play with toys in childs sessions. They offer activities- ladies aqua sessions, mother and toddler sessions and have a gymnasium upstairs. The cafe is reasonable. Water bottles are £1 so a hike but no huge hike like some places and food is of a reasonable standard, as you would expect from a council sports facility. The lockers are 50 pence each and there are plenty. There are open showers and also two cubicle showers to the side. Its clean! Ive never seen it looking dirty and staff are always visible if there was ever an issue. There are numerous toilets, one in the changing area and then some towards the entrance which are always dry.
