Always a lot of fun, but it is starting to really look dated. But still, it is lovely to have a little waterpark locally.

The Oasis Pool is an average family attraction. It’s a shame they didn’t build it bigger, as it is rather on the small size. It has a couple of water tube type slides but they have always been shut whenever I tried to access them so I can’t comment on how good they are. The price is fairly good value for money costing around £14 for a family if you go at the right time.

The whole place is tired looking and needs to be modernised. It is also very cold as the shutters accessing the outside do not close properly leaving a good part of the area exposed to the elements. This isn’t really good as in the middle of winter you would imagine that it should be more like the tropics rather than the Arctic.

There is a café there but it is very awkward to get there from the pool, also you wouldn’t want to get out of the pool as you would be frozen by the time you get your coffee. I would give an opinion on the beverages but I have never had any. I think the café may be more for spectators or for people to go to after they finished in the pool. It is not designed as a pool/café culture setup.

The staff do their very best but are not trained for customer services. I think this is more to do with the fact that the facility is owned by Bedford borough Council. So the management is similar in style to the atmosphere evoked out of the book 1984.

The changing rooms also need to have a good clean and more often then they are especially in peak periods.

Despite my negative outlook on this attraction my children enjoy it as there is more to do then going to a simple pool, so I tolerate its deficiencies. The place surprisingly has a good aura despite all the issues I have raised.
