A very welcoming B&B with bubbly hosts. We arrived there very hungry after a 20 mile walk along Hadrians Wall and were given a number of options of where to eat and the directions.
Room was clean and comfortable and well positioned for the city centre and rejoining Hadrians Wall the following morning.
There was plenty of choice at breakfast and of good quality.
Would recommend this B&B.

Tony & Charlotte the couple who run this b & b were really welcoming, the rooms are spacious and very clean. Plenty to choose from at breakfast and nothing seems to be too much trouble for Tony & Charlotte. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were welcomed into this b and b. The couple who run it are friendly, advised us where to go for food that evening. Our room was nice, unfortunately for my feet it was on the top floor. (We were on a walking holiday) breakfast was great with plenty to choose from, as was the packed lunch. A huge special thanks to Charlotte and Tony as they removed the locks off our cases after my husband locked the keys in the case. A good excuse to get the boys toys out. We will remember you fondly. It was also nice to speak to hosts that had actually walked the last part of the wall and could give us some real advice. Thanks again .

Room was clean and fairly basically furnished (possibly a good thing, have you ever stayed in one of those "explosions in an ornament shop" type rooms?). Bed was comfortable, shower could be more powerful but it is an old private house so understandable. The owners are friendly and welcoming. There's private off-street parking. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Only stayed the one night but really couldn't fault the place and would happily recommend it.

We stayed one night on a cycling trip. We arrived a little early so rather startled Charlotte and Tony when they arrived back. that didn't stop them from being very welcoming and friendly. That summed up our stay with them. Comfortable room and good facilities all provided. Good breakfast in the morning with good initial selection of cereals etc and then cooked breakfast. good value for money. Location is quite good, we walked into town to look around in the evening.

We were staying here when walking Hadrian's Wall and its location was very good - very close to the centre and close to the wall, too.

It's a massive B&B so it does feel quite private and almost hotel-like, which is nice. Lots of amenities - nice teas, DVDs, books for you to use, and a very good breakfast with yummy fruit. They took good care of us.

The only issue was that the rooms could do with updating. Our room looked as though it had not been decorated for many years and had a slight lingering smell of smoke (I think that the owners might smoke in their private areas and it wafts through?).

But, if the furniture and decor were updated, then this could be a 5/5.

Used this b&b as a stop off on our journey, overall impression how clean it is. Very comfortable and a fantastic choice of breakfasts.. Owners very pleasant and helpfull, the weather was exceptionally bad on the trip down, we were given a flask of coffee in case it was required. We used to stop at one of the hotels - not any more, we will be using here again.. Also within walking distance of a choice of restaurants.
