We took N°2 for a short easter break to visit family. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break in the country with good access for walks, horses and other animals, this is a place to consider. You also have Talkin Tarn which is a small lake, a walk away. I would say it is good for a break in the country.
The cottage itself had all we needed, 2 bedrooms, a living area as well as spacious enough kitchen and eating areas with what was required : TV , Wifi, standard kitchen appliances, etc... And it had a fire, but weather was good so not really needed.
Has a smallish shower room & toilet, but not a big point.
There are 2 cottages , so could potentially come as 2 groups. Nice and quiet.
Carlisle is 15-20 minutes away, so you need to do your shopping by car, nothing by foot.
Anne & others on farm all very friendly. I can recommend, if this is the kind of rural break you are looking for.

A beautiful cottage in a wonderful location although not far from Carlisle as well.
A warm welcome and the freebies on arrival were greatly appreciated.
Great log burner to keep out the chill with supplies of plenty of wood to keep it going.
All in all a great mini break.
Me and family found the views from this cottage fantastic and being so close to the farm animals was great for the kids. Definitely going back .
