I took some business clients to Masala Bazaar for dinner and they, like me, thought it was fantastic. One of my clients was Canadian who said it was the best Indian meal she had ever had! The rest of the group were all London based and their general opinion was that Masala Bazaar would not be out of place amongst any of the trendy Indian restaurants in the city.
One of them was of Parsi descent and was intrigued with the parsi dish on the menu, which he just had to try. He said it was excellent and reminded him of his mother's cooking.
My favourite meal is the lamb chops to start followed by the prawn patia and a side order of bindi du piaza, along with selection of breads to go with it. Fantastic! You've got to try the bread basket. The choice of drinks is good and the cocktails are superb.
Well done to all concerned with the rebirth of this excellent restaurant. Back to its former early Teza days glory. I would encourage every Indian food lover in Carlisle to go.
