We booked an hour session during the half term holidays for four 12 yr old boys. The instructor Owain was fantastic. Patient, kind and full of good humour. The boys loved the experience and were only disaappointed that the hour went too fast! The place is cool and trendy with comfy sofas to chill and music playing. The coffee shop is wonderful with a great choice of coffees and soft drinks and snacks. My husband enjoyed a latte. Good value for money and I will definately take the boys back again soon.

I love my trips to Eden Rock. I'm just a mid-level climber, looking to improve, but there's 3 or 4 circuits, set in totally different styles on different holds to keep me busy. I can just look enviously at the beautiful wooden 'beastmaker' holds which make up the harder circuits and think "maybe one day…"

Staff are all amazingly friendly, and insanely knowledgable about climbing, the cakes are great, and the coffee is better still.

We visited Eden Rock on the last day of our weeks holiday in Cumbria and it was excellent. We just turned up (without phoning ahead) and they were very welcoming. Both of our kids were able to get a 1:1 coaching session with an instructor and he was very patient - top notch instruction provided. My kids (8 & 12 yrs old) had never been bouldering before, although our 12 yr old goes climbing weekly in the local leisure centre but it's easy to have a go at. They even did a warm up as well before bouldering! Also had nice comfy sofa's for the rest of the family to sit on while having a very welcome cup of hot tea whilst waiting. Very clean, relaxed and airy facilities - would highly recommend a visit. An excellent place for kids and adults to burn off some energy in any weather.

Hi Brett,

Great to get a review back from a parent. Children's classes are a big part of what we do and it's lovely to hear the effort is paying off. Once again, thank you for visiting us and taking the time to write such a lovely review.

A great place to go to, ideal for all the family. Friendly and helpful staff, a nice centre in general. The routes are changed regularly and they have some additional classes to choose from. Worth a visit.

Having lived around the country for a fair amount and climbed at quite a lot of walls, Eden Rock has to be amongst one of the best I've seen. Lots of space, well set routes and a very friendly bunch of staff. There also isn't the elitism feeling that's seen at many other places.
The routes set are of a superb quality and cater for well-seasoned climbers as well as total novices.
I'm not any good at writing long reviews but I will definitely recommend anyone to give Eden Rock a try. It's well worth the commute (from West Cumbria!)

Hi Adrian,

It's great to be compared so well on a national level. It's always great to hear we have managed to create a friendly atmosphere and of course we do spend a lot of time on our routes getting them just right!
