Must admit only went in because carlisle castle was shut and to get out of the rain !! but very pleasantly surprised inside. Brilliant roman exhibits and a lot about the border reivers and Hadriens Wall. Would go again.

I organised a group of 9 ladies for afternoon tea/wine. We got to Tullie House & they had organised us to go in a separate room just off the restaurant with our own, attentive waitress. Afternoon tea was good value at £12 per head & the food was tasty & there was plenty of it - we will definitely be back.

I could spend all day here. Lots to see. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the Roman exhibition and The Border Reivers, Also the history of train travel. Art exhibitions are good too. There is an excellent tea room and gift shop. Located near to the castle and cathedral and central shopping area.

Took my 6 year old son to Tullie House as a treat. We both really enjoyed exploring the museum (and the cheeky stop off in the restaurant for refreshments!). The Roman section is especially interactive and the staff were very approachable and knowledgeable. As we can now got back for free for the next year, I imagine there will be more exploring going on very soon.

Saturday we spent at Tullie House musuem. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the man on the front desk to the ladies in the cafe - well done!
Don't miss the Roman exhibition - there's plenty of hands on exhibits for children but enough to read and study for adults. The rest of the museum is good too, though obviously not as new as the Roman exhibition - well done on the hands on parts for children - our son learnt a lot today.
Cafe very popular with visitors and locals. Freshly made food - homemade soup was yummy.
well done Tullie House - I will recommend you to my friends!
