This just has to be the best in the entire north! Working in carlisle tomorrow all the way from doncaster, and ive never looked more forward to my lunch break! Reading barry b's comment, value for money? Of course it is! So were findus lasagnes? Well since your a horse eating connoisseur maybe you should just stick to the findus, You'll also find you probley went in smelling of chip fat, i doubt anybody thats in to there horse food cleans there own home. Im sure the extraction system meets current building regulations and is up to current standards with the local authorities, if it wernt, you wouldnt of been able to walk in to the restaraunt which you claim after eating horse meat, that it needs a facelift. This is the tastiest in the north and i know my grub! Its easy to criticise but it takes an honest person to back its reputation. The bee's knees, the premier leauge of restaraunts. Roll on the chips and curry!!!

Its a choppy firstly, not a restaurant although it does have a care area.
Its well priced and not bad for taste but ive certainly had better.
the whole place needs s facelift though and a much much better extraction system
You come out smelling of old chip fat, as does the place.

Called into Mammas on the 26th Jan 2013 for lunch with the other half and her Mum. The place was busy but we managed to get seated right away, we ordered 2 x Fish Chips peas and bread and butter, one with tea, the other with Coffe and a scampi lunch, food was excellant, batter not too greasy, everything hot and the chips were cooked to perfection, all in all the bill was £17.50, so value for money as well, no hesitation in reccomending and would definately call in again if i'm ever in Carlisle for lunch, Mammas is about a leisurely 10 minute walk from the train station.
